I love cold weather too, and this winter has been a big diappointment.

Here in Lexington it was in the 60s yesterday or the day before. Then again it was nearly 70 here in January a couple of years ago, so I'm coming to expect it.

Here in eastern NC it's been the same way, and it was like that last year also. I mean we've never had like -10 through 0 degree all season long type winters in the first place, but we did have "potential for a little snow, you can't wear shorts" winters. So many people come in to where I work talking about how great it is and how nice it feels, and I respond to them by saying the only thing is does for me is make me scared.

We were at -6 F last night. With 20 some mile an hour winds. For those who are keeping count, that means a wind chill of somewhere below -20 F.
Quit bitching.

Well I definatlly don't want it that cold, and will never complain about it not getting that cold. However, I don't want it to be between 65-75 on a daily basis either.

Yeah, I have about 9 inches of snow at my house. I'd kill for 65 degree weather right now

We've barely gotten any snow down here. Yesterday was one of the few flurries I've seen this year. Last year I was practically snowed in.

All I have to say is, thank El Nino. If it wasn't for it, it wouldn't have been in the mid-50s today where I am. Bad news is, El Nino also brings a good chance of dumping major snow. Or in short, for those who have heard of (or even lived through) the Blizzard of '78 should heed my advice:
The weather was EXACTLY like this 28 years ago, so a gargantuan blizzard in about February-March isn't out of the question whatsoever.
