The Elite getting Jack Perry is a big deal, but this angle will really explode when Butcher shows up to pick his side.

Important to keep in mind that both Eastern & Western feeds were going on at the same time. Still, not a good number, but I do hope the closing angle gets a nice bump next week They need to get Swerve into a hot program as well. Dude did not even get a celebration last night. That stuck out like a soar thumb to me, like, Iam glad Willow Nightingale is Champion, But Swerve should of gotten a bigger celebration then Willows or at least an in-ring promo. Swerve just having a nonthing match and that’s it was disappointing

People really tuned in to see the Stars shit the bed huh 🫠
If the ratings continue like this after playoffs? Sure, hit the panic button. But this is gonna be a rough time of the year for ratings, I’m sure they’ll be right back up after all this sports goofiness is over with.

This was always going to happen with it being live coast to coast, Rampage and Collision likely will take a hit too because they're gonna be the same situation
Live West Coast is like 4PM for AEW start time, it's not ideal, but they gotta go through it due to the playoffs.

Don't usually enter the ratings threads but wasn't it said ahead of time that ratings would be affected by going live coast-to-coast? I'm sure I saw people talking about that. Maybe audio issues played a part but it felt like something people were already predicting was going to happen. I have no idea how often they to live coast-to-coast what with not living in the US though. I've hated watching AEW on the west coast during my work trips, seems what people get at home is different from hotels which TBS runs on east coast time for their airings. So when its 8pm PST, I don't get to watch AEW. I've been able to catch it at 5pm after I figured it out.

Hopefully the ratings pick up in the upcoming weeks. Obviously just as a viewer it doesn’t affect me much in the real world but I feel like the last few weeks have been a good direction and would hope the figures start to reflect that

People coming to this thread to lolaew discourse (especially with the low rating right in the title) like I just wanted to give context for the rating right in the title so people know what they’re getting into if they enter. No need for swipes

Was to be expected. Nice bump for the final angle.
The discussion about this elsewhere is pathetic. Really sad.

For anyone that cares, Kings vs Oilers(aired after Dynamite) did a 0.10, which was the average of what Powerslap was doing last year...
I actually watched the Oil/Kings game because I love McJesus, but the start time is ASS. I get it is a west coast game, but not everyone on the east coast and midwest wants to stay up til midnight in the middle of the week for hockey.

And that was only being part of a winning team in an eight man tag match. I wish they’d cut back on doing stuff like that in general.

I’d expect a bump next week. TK selling the attack for the NFL Draft might help a little bit honestly, because at least Barstool at the least is talking about it.

Ouch, I expect it to go up next week after the closing angle and did I see somewhere Kenny is returning? So that will help.
Count me in as one of those who was dumbfounded by the use of Swerve this week.

Still don't get what a celebration would have done different Like you prefer another talking segment to a good wrestling match? Dude celebrated last night, he was paraded to the ring for this match, he will get a promo next week Idk it certainly isn't starting his reign off on the wrong foot to win a match and look like a fighting champion.

Some of us, including me, just wanted him to be presented as a big deal. He’s the World Champion for god sakes, He should of had his in-ring promo on Dynamite than have his match with whomever on Collision. It felt he had just won the FTW title the way he was presented compared to the rest of the show. Honestly, he should of had the main event segment spot. Someone on his caliber needed to at least have the whole show centered around him and his World Title win

Someone on his caliber needed to at least have the whole show centered around him and his World Title win He's going to have his in ring promo on Dynamite NEXT WEEK He was presented as a big deal, he was introduced as the world champion, crowd went nuts, he put on a great match, and won, showing what kind of champion he is It's an insane reach to say it was like he won the FTW title. He was given plenty of spotlight and will continue to, and nothing else should have main evented the show over what did, that was a massive deal and people are still talking about it and it's literally carried over to the NFL Draft Swerve is going to be absolutely fine, this is being made out to be a much bigger issue the it actually was or is, especially given they announced on that show that Swerve's DON opponent is being named in Winnipeg. AEW likes to stack shows and focus on things on varying weeks, but Swerve wasn't overlooked, and he won't be next week either.

This is like if Cody came out on Raw the Monday after Wrestlemania 40,Wrestled Shinsuke Nakamura and that was it, lol. This is not a huge deal, but I would of loved to hear from him this past Wednesday.
