Not sure what they have next for the Street Profits, they have been directionless for so long now. I don't see Theory/Waller losing their first title defense on TV this week. They need a full reboot. I thought their group with Lashley would be that … but they’re the exact same they’ve always been except with slightly modified gear and also now hang out with Bobby Lashley. Huge disappointment this group has been.

Agree. Montez is fantastic and deserves more than what they are doing with him. The team up with Lashley made everyone involved worse.

Montez could be a big star, but he's 33. Time to get f***ing moving on that, why is this guy stuck in this done-everything tag team and dead end stable? He's been an up and coming break out star since the Profits started. That's 8 freaking years. This would be Bret still in the Hart Foundation in 1993, HBK in the Rockers in 1996, Edge and Christian still a team in 2006. At some point, even if it fails, you need to try.

I’ve never understood the love for Ford outside of as a tag guy. His character is very obnoxious and unserious, even when doing appearances outside the company. I’m sure he’s a lovely fellow, but I don’t see the need for him to be outside of a team at all. He reminds me of a more talented Mojo Rawley is all. THANK YOU Dawkins >>> Ford Oh, wow! I thought I was the only Dawkins guy around here! The Street Profits debuted on the main roster in 2019. 2024 Dawkins is so much better than 2019 Dawkins. Better body, better ring work, better promos, and much more comfortable and confident in general. But compared to 2019 Ford, 2024 Ford is like, exactly the same guy. In 2019/2020 I thought Ford could be a breakout star. He still could be, I guess, but he needs to do something to show that he isn’t just coasting on natural athleticism.

both of these guys have a ton of talent but I feel like they've probably said they don't want to be broken up, sorta like New Day or other tag teams that don't wanna ruin what they see as a good thing. it doesn't make much sense that they haven't yet otherwise, even with that one match where Montez seemingly pissed off the entire IWC by spamming the taunt button, think it was one of the EC matches.

He's a great wrestler, but I find him really irritating.
And the Hurt Business was way better than whatever this group is supposed to be (even with B-Fab). Two points for Vince (the other point is for Butch).

I don’t see how the Hurt Business can be a point for Vince when Vince broke them up because Shelton and Cedric were getting a crowd response when they weren’t supposed to.

Maybe he was held back by Vinceism. Having a wife that is more successful than you is certainly something the dirty old git would hold against you and Andrade also fared poorly under Vince. Of course Vince is 100% gone now so their fortunes could pick up but it may have cost the pair of them a few key years.

I think his biggest problem is being Montez Ford. Once he starts being anyone else, he might stand a chance.

Montez Ford really does have main event potential. The Street Profits had a good run, but I think their best days are behind them. Time to split them up.

A lot of folks on the roster are suffering the aftereffects of Vinceism right now...and Paul Levesque's big test is whether he's willing to break completely from Vince and push them creatively in the meantime.
What Vince has done, in a lot of cases, is ensure that they're paid well enough not to want to leave, but creatively screw them over so they can never really reach their potential. A couple of contract cycles like that and one can get kind of settled into the rut created for them.
Sadly, it seems that Vince did a shit-ton of that during the last few years. It's partly why AEW became such a litmus test for fans. Those guys willing to take a walk on the wild side left for AEW; those who likely settled, including a few who absolutely would have been Faces of the Company over there, stayed put. And while we can empathize about the money and wanting security, it did hurt a bit when some stayed instead of leaving and pushing the limits of the craft again.
