About the GoBots...
Would Wiegel (MeTV owners) have had to go through Hasbro to get the rights to show it?
I know this is the problem with Buzzr and the 80s Scrabble game show (Fremantle owns the rights to the show, but has to get Hasbro to sign off on rerunning it because they are the current owners of the board game...)

Once this starts we will finally get nice DVD sets of a few shows that dont have them.
No more paying SumGuy 30 bbucks for 2 evd-rs,ripped from EP mode VHS,at Coast Con.
Really really hoping FRNDLY picks this up. The 7 a month is worth it for me. I get METV,Catchy,Vice and MOVIES!

Honey Smacks mixed with Froot Loops perhaps? (Not judging...as a kid I invented a cereal "Lucky Corn Pops," which was just what you think)

On one hand, I'm excisted about this because this means a new OTA cartoon channel aside from PBS kids. OTOH, I just know this is going to be on a channel my antenna can't pick up... which MeTV moved to...

Hasbro seems to be looser with the GoBots since they didnt create it (nor did Tonka to be perfectly honest). That's why we got stuff like the Go-Bots series on dvd, as well as stuff like the Cy-Kill cosplayer in the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special.

Amy word if/where NYC and NJ viewers can get this? I belong to Cablevision in New Jersey. You probably will. Weigel Broadcasting owns MeTV and it has an Owned and operated station in your area, WJLP tv which is affiliated with MeTV. Here’s more (perhaps inaccurate info from Wikipedia): en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WJLPNow as far as your cable system (which is now called Altice USA (aka Optimum) in NJ, that’s a different story whether they will put it on their cable system.

Would this mean that theoretically, anyone who already gets MeTV over the air, would also be able to get MeTV Toons?

Would this mean that theoretically, anyone who already gets MeTV over the air, would also be able to get MeTV Toons? Not necessarily. I have MeTV down here in Southwest Florida on WZVN Channel 26-2. I don’t have MeTV Plus since they don’t have an affiliate down here.

And no ME+. That is why I got FRNDLY aka the OLD folk cable replacement. All the channels that rerun 70s and 80s shows,a pile of hallmark channels. 7 bucks a month and a cloud DVR.

This type of network works as a digital broadcast network because there is less pressure to deliver in ratings. It wont work as a cable channel due to they are under pressure to deliver ratings. That’s why Cartoon Network and later Boomerang (in the USA at least) evolved to more modern programming. By the way, there are some people that like modern programming vs older programming.
