Inspired by a thread that shares almost no similarity with this but it got me thinking.
Who are some guys that made it into mainstream wrestling games that are total “oh, wow.. he’s in here” worthy?
I can vividly remember even as a young kid, seeing Bobby Blaze and Bobby Duncum Jr in WCW Mayhem on PS1 and having little to no idea who they were. I still don’t know if they did anything noteworthy enough during the development period of that game to warrant getting in, but I guess they did.

Sawyer Fulton's a pretty what-the-hell semi-recent example.

Dan Bobish being in Fire Pro Returns, even under a fake name, is such a random pull.

I want to say Tucker was in 2k22 in his Heavy Machinery gear despite being released 11 months before its release date.

Two from the first Raw on XBox always piqued my eye: Haku and K Krush.
R-Truth would be in dozens of games but as the game came out he was getting ready for big things in TNA.
But Haku at the time was such a blink and you'll miss him type return that him being in the game was neat.

It was so out of date, I think more than any other wrestling game. Folk have their attires based from around Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania 2001, and the game came out in February 2002. In the UK it was even later, in September. More so than just attires, there's absolutely no WCW/ECW guys, which would have been a great addition.

Remember wanting that game strictly for Haku for some reason (?) Shoutout to Marcus Cor Von and Kenny Dykstra showing up in Smackdown vs Raw 2008. Kinda surprising that Spirit Squad guys never showed up in gimmick in a game. They were a huge part of Raw for a year or so

Jerry Lynn was an unlockable character in Smackdown Just Bring It. And every single time I would play through the game, I could never remember who the unlockable character was until after the fact.
Keep in mind that the game came out towards the tail end of the Invasion, so it was super weird to see guys like Dean Malenko and Steve Blackman on there instead of Booker T and Rob Van Dam. Oh...and let's not forget the inclusion of Fred Durst!

Damon Kemp has had eight televised matches on NXT in the past year, yet somehow makes it on WWE 2K24.

Kwang being a Sega 32X super exclusive secret character in WWF Raw was a crazy one, considering that game came out in very late 1994 and the Kwang character was already sort of fading out of programming by the time the game released.

Ken Shamrock as an unlockable character in No Mercy (N64). The game came out in late 2000. Last time Shamrock was on WWF TV as a wrestler was September/October 1999. Why was he in the game? Dunno.

I still don’t know if they did anything noteworthy enough during the development period of that game to warrant getting in, but I guess they did. For Duncum, there was the West Texas Rednecks stable that also got Barry Windham into the game (although it would've been nice for them to squeeze in Kendall Windham as well.)

To be fair, it wouldn't have taken much space at all to squeeze Kendall Windham in anywhere. The guy's built like a No. 2 pencil.
