*Sigh* People say they want to be moderators and whatever, when it isn't exactly that fun to have to deal with everybody's demands. Like now for example. I'm being nice about this folks, I'm not giving sly answers like how some of the others mods or admins would. I am not crimeny jeezing doing this to abuse power or to feel good off other people misery. (see you can write crimeny jeeze in yourself what is the big deal?) .... Was I just called a freak for what I said earlier?

What I don't get is everyone loved Criminy Jeez. People want it back. But you're not giving it. Must feel good to have that kind of power. Ah, but you forget that the whole purpose of the filters is to stop people from using those words.

I still say the filters are a silly idea here anyway. If it's to keep the board from being blocked by schools' and libraries' site filter things, then yeah, I can understand it. But the only explanation I've seen anywhere is "you shouldn't be using those words anyway." This is a forum for pro wrestling, some of the dirtiest, filthiest, most violent stuff out there (if you look in the right places). What's with the moral crusade against a few specific words? Are the meanings and motives behind those words not infinitely more important than the choice of those words themselves?

The problem with proboard's filter system is....it is just to f***ing fun!
No matter what you change the words to, we'll eventually fall in love with it.

The problem with proboard's filter system is....it is just to huging fun! No matter what you change the words to, we'll eventually fall in love with it. Ironically, if it were actually the curse word we'd stop using it probably since most people around here only curse to get the filter. Like with me, I know i can curse because the filter will pick it up. But if it wasn't there, I'd probably be more careful.

Let's get back to the the nature of this thread ( yes, for the FIRST TIME EVER, I'm steering a thread back on-topic, but then the topic is me, so you might wanna asterisk it even still)...which is my insanity over laughing at a non comedy bit in PTI because of the filters. Do the rest of ya'l have similar moments?

I'm glad you and me both found it funny. But like you said, had he just said the word hugging it wouldnt' have been.. but there was like a pervy quality to his voice " Tony, there's gonna be some hugging going on after the break.. heh heh heh"

Well here was a great one.
I'm watching an old Nitro from 97 and Larry Z in all of his brilliance said this one:
"The main point is that you want to avoid any and all positions where you can get hugged by the Steiners"
;D
