So I think 2017 till the Tribal chief run started was the worst period for wwe in the 21st century. Which year was the worst though? I’d have to say 2017. You had KO jobbing to Goldberg, Brock as absentee champ on one brand and Jinder on the other. The only bright spots were the Ambrose/Rollins reunion and the Hardy boys returning at mania

Basically stopped following in 2019. Even the video game that came out that year sucked iirc

Honestly they all blend together for me where I can't remember much from any of them. It does seem like 2018 is the best just mainly because I don't remember as much stupid crap that annoyed me like the other two. I guess 2017 was the worst just with Smackdown going from a great show to being abysmal after the post Mania draft. Jinder Mahal World Champion? Seriously?

From a personal standpoint as I rarely watch the TV shows week to week, I'd say 2017 had the least appealing run of PPVs/PLEs, but there is an argument for any of the three years.
When factoring in the weekly TV, it's hard to argue against 2019 with the wild card rule and two-out-of-three-falls matches.

2019 broke me in a way it shouldn't be possible for pro-wrestling to break a man. It is a rare that you can describe a product as hateful, but here we are. Even the bright spots have an asterisk beside them, like Kofimania coming to a screeching halt or what felt like an active, repeated attempt to cool off Becky Lynch's meteoric rise. That's before we even get to 2/3 falls-a-palooza, back-shaving, Cain/Brock, Miz/Shane or whatever the turn-off of the week happened to be. The product had it out for the viewer, basically.

2019 was the worst year of the late 2010s.
The some of the bookings and storylines were pointless while The HIAC match between Fiend and Rollins were absolutely terrible, Brock winning the MITB was bad booking and people didn't really take Kofi seriously as WWE champ. NXT was the better show than Raw and Smackdown. Shane McMahon was definitely overexposed as well.
Other than the feel good story of Kofimania, Becky's run as The Man and the NXT vs Raw vs Smackdown feud for Survivor Series, 2019 was just terrible.

2019 was so bad it ended 30ish years of me being a wwe fan. Oh the absolute shit I saw in that time, Katie Vick, Mae Young's hand baby, guest hosts era, Alberto Del Rio... But it was 2019 that was so bad it broke me.
Although tbf it was building on the work 2017 started, there's just no getting past the fact Jinder was wwe champion.

Like many, 2019 basically made me not a huge WWE watcher or fan anymore due to the huuuuuuuuge amount if just bad programming like the BS finish to the HIAC match between Rollins and the Fiend, Brock beating Kofi in eight seconds

2019 due to Lesnar squashing Kofi for the WWE title, the follow-up to Becky's Raw Women's title reign being lazy, and the Fiend/Rollins HIAC bullshit.

Brock vs. Kofi and Seth vs. The Fiend in Hell in a Cell started the COVID outbreak, actually.
The mainstream media won't tell you the truth, but I will.

Honestly I thought all three were bad. I watched sometimes with my friend Jeff... before he became homeless. I got him staying at another friends house for now. He also has a old dog with him.

2019. That's when the booking really started feeling like the only thing Vince cared about anymore was spiting Triple H.

As someone who didn't actually watch but kept up to date through clips and this forum, I'd go with 2019. It seemed the pandemic was actually a good thing in kinda resetting things a bit.

Glad you clarified, since I'd say 2013 is the worst year as far as the 2010's in it's entirety. Completely tone deaf to what the fans were wanting.
But yeah, 2019 was really really bad too.

I can't pick 2019 because in amongst the shit it also had the planet's champion Daniel Bryan, Kofimania, Becky winning the WM main event and Erick Rowan's doppleganger. I can't do it.

A good portion of 2019 was the definition of "F#$! You, that's why" style booking.
