Good stuff...I know I say this enough,,,but it's a shame that the true story of the dark side was shown through Lucas' greed for money thus making 3 new movies that are among the worst things I've ever seen. Come on......Revenge wasn't THAT bad? In fact, it was good.

Come on......Revenge wasn't THAT bad? In fact, it was good. Ummm...no it was bad. I remember going with my friend who had already seen it and told me how great the fight scene was between Mannequin and Obi Wan. To say the end was VERY anti-climatic would be an understatement. And as a whole, those movies have ruined the entire Star Wars experience for me to the point I never want to watch the old ones again. See, I agree. That's why, for me, the original six films are the only ones I will watch and will concern myself over. These last three were crap.

Are there three new ones that are worse than the past three (although I maintain that overall, ROTS was good despite it's pitfalls)

We all new coming into the PHANTOM MENACE that this here Aniquine guy may be Vader some day later.

The only prequel to the originals which I have enjoyed, for reasons unbeknownst to me has been, Attack of the Clones.
It is indeed a total shame that Episodes I, II, III had to even be made. That's all.

I liked them. I dont take this crap to heart, sure theres a load of plot holes, sure it kinda ruined the classic feeling of the original movies. But these movies had to be made, there was a demand for it. Sure Lucas could have written a better story, but really the whole turning into Darth Vader thing could have been done in one film. Just look at them in a different light, their popcorn movies, there to waste a few hours. Just don't sit there and look at all the flaws. I see this every Monday night, just sit back and enjoy the show. Don't complain about every little detail. It's not real you know.

I think they should've teased Anakin's "dark side" starting in Phantom Menace. Have him use the Force to win the pod race or something.
I'm SO not a fan of the new movies EXCEPT for the following: they gave a good insight into what the Jedi were supposed to be before they were wiped out. And they made Obi Wan and Yoda mighty kick-ass instead of just an old guy and a puppet.
Other than that, I can live without them. George Lucas finally made a movie where the human factor took a backseat to special effects, so the part that would make people actually care about the movie isn't there in the way that it should. (Say what you will, but the original 3 were a human interest story set in a fantastic backdrop. Without Luke and them, no one would've cared.) Instead of confining it to scenes where it would've helped (explosions, any of the battle scenes where you could put TONS of extra people in), he went CGI crazy and made three very flat, very uninteresting films. If Phantom Menace had been the first movie out of the gate, we'd never have gotten to A New Hope.

I think what really ruined the new star wars is simple. It is that Lucas started taking it wayyyyy to seriously. The first three were tongue in cheek fun action movies. The last three had political analysis and everyone talked in British accents for some reason.

Episode I gave us Jar Jar Binks. Episode II gave us teenage Annakin. Episode III gave us a robot with a headcold.
If there's any further question to the fact that the Star Wars prequels were not only some of the most God-awful cinematic suppositories ever filmed, but also the downfall of the Star Wars franchise, those three statements should clear it up.

The last three had political analysis and everyone talked in British accents for some reason. New Hope had most of the Imperial cast were Brits, for reasons they filmed in Britain. I liked that they talked that way. British accent is the galactical accent. I would've had Anakin been older, younger than Luke who I think is supposed to be like 18 or 19 so I'll go 16. Have him be more arrogant and already mastered his patent force chokehold. Also he's introduced by saving Obi-wan and Dooku(I'd get rid of Qui-gon and just have Dooku be a Master) from Sand People.

That would be Star Wars (none of this "A New Hope" crap), Holiday Special, Empire, ROTJ, Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor.

AOTC was insightful. Where else would we be able to find out that Anakin Skywalker despises sand?
