I've stopped doing it completely. In fact only one girl has that power over me any more, like some sort of omnipresent female Skeletor type character.

I don't know, I read about it in a book once. Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING? DAMN IT! Beat me to it...

"I'm going to go microwave a bagel and have sex with it."
"There's butter in the fridge."
Problem solved. Giggity.

Yeah, it happens to me a lot. But I'm thinking it's just hope on my part, and she's just being friendly.
Funny how the mind works sometimes.

Guilty as charged, had it happen to me a few times last year. It's easy to get fooled into the "dude she likes you" bit or maybe if I read the signs I would've been less of a fool.

"I'm going to go microwave a bagel and have sex with it." "There's butter in the fridge." Problem solved. Giggity. Save the butter for special occaisions. The margarine works just as well for the everyday bagel fling.

More often for me, if a girl tells me "haven't seen you in awhile", the first thing that usually pops in my mind is "Holy S***! She remembers me!"
Besides, these days if the girl wants to talk, I'll talk. But if the girl ever wants to be more than "just friends", she's gonna have to do something about it, because the few times I've tried myself, it's gone straight to hell.

This hasn't happened to me in quite some time. Last time this happened, I was in this bar I used to do karaoke at and this smokin' hot new bartender said that to me and instantly I'm thinking "OK...hot chick...apparently remembers me...what Twilight Zone have I stepped in?"
Turned out she used to work at this video store in the next town west of where this bar is and I was getting a bit flirty with her one night when I was at the store she worked at buying a copy of the Tom Zane "Punisher" movie. Guess the trenchcoat I was wearing served as a good mnemonic device.
But I guess in my warped, bitter, and jaded mind if a girl is nice to me in that caliber, the first impression I get is that I'm just being fed a line of bulls***...which is the same mentality that keeps me from being a regular at any strip joints. Kinda helps I used to work for one and know how those girls work anyway. No sense in spending money on chicks I have no chance with anyway.

made that mistake this year... this girl was always being like really friendly to me, and i'm used to this but I mean ULTRA-friendly, and in class she was always staring at me, even gave me a big hug once out of nowhere. I thought she had a thing for me, and she was cute, so I planned to find out more, BUT... good thing I found out she had a boyfriend and was just very friendly BEFORE I went and embarassed myself.

I have gotten better at it. Either that or I get lucky and pick right when something like this happens.
