I liked them all...and love how they told one long story.
Can't really pick a favorite..but I think Land Of The Dead was underrated.

As a horror movie Night defeats the others by far, in my eyes it has all the elements that make the perfect horror movie. Dawn of the dead is the best zombie movie ever though.
Land is very underrated it has great characters, acting and story infact I rank it higher then Day but i'm sure people will disagree.
I remember one review that sums up George Romero's zombie movies perfectly......."Romero puts heart and soul into blood and guts"
ps- I vote for Dawn, screw the remake.

I love 'em all, but I'm voting for the original. George is the master of social commentary crammed full of the walking dead.

Dawn. best overall. Own all of them. Day is just so weird, though, and definitely the most disturbing. Day is the most underrated since it is the most forgotten. Land was well received by critics. It was flat out great, especially Dennis Hopper. But Dawn, yeah. Holds up the best, too, I think. Though it still is weird what with the gun store in the mall.

In that order.

The problem with Day is the fact that the previous movie had this huge environment with so many great things happening then in Day all the characters are stuck in a whole, there were no likeable characters either, the gore effects are the best in the series though.

I disagree that there were no likeable characters in Day of the Dead. I mean the audience is suppose to sympathize with the female protagonist the way it is set up. I didn't, but the audience was suppose to. Personally I liked Captain Rhodes. Probably my favorite character of the entire series

Was he the one that was pulled apart at the end, and yelled "CHOKE ON EM!!!" as he was dying?
If so, he's pretty high up on my favorite character list.
Anyway, I voted for Dawn, as it's the only one with Dario Argento and Goblin involvement.

It's still probably my least favorite of the films, but I really like all of them. Too bad I only own Night of the Living Dead. I wouldn't mind rewatching them all. After all I've only seen Land of the Dead once!

Day and Land are both terribly underrated. I voted Day though, just for the awesomely memorable zombies (Bub owns all), deaths (CHOKE ON 'EM!) and such
