I've said it before, I'm a bit of Seth Rollins fan, but a bigger Colby Lopez fan. He's a hometown boy made good and while I've never met him, we do have some mutual friends.
All that said, I'm on board with the injury-prone train now. This is what the third or fourth knee injury since he joined the main roster? Dude, you are rapidly approaching your 40s. Stop flipping around.

The audible really should have been for Breakker and Bronson to storm the ring and lay out Knight, yeah it would have been repetitive from Smackdown, but it would have protected Seth a bit when left in a vulnerable spot. Ending the match on Knight pinning Seth wasn't hyped as a bigger deal due to the announcers making us too aware of the circumstances, Knight looking miffed etc. It was just humility for Seth all 'round.

Man if he is hurt, that’s the second significant injury in like a month that could really mess up plans on Raw.

In the moment I get it though, Seth's probably thinking his next few months might be scuffed (Whether they actually turn out to be or not), so he decided to take Knight's finisher and give him something before that happens, and BFT was a move he could take since there's not much to do with the legs.

Hugely rough for Seth, and really forces a post-SummerSlam change in plans, I feel.
Hope his recovery goes well.

WWE have uploaded the LA Knight and Rollins match but have removed all trace of the blown spot, injury and commentary during it and post-match, they are kayfabe presenting it as a clean win for Knight

Really sucks, this heel faction and storyline was NOT hitting for me, and this is not how I wanted to see it end if he's out awhile. Idk what you do with the Briefcase, I guess have others fight for it? Not really the important part in all this but it'll be a hanging thread they have to answer soon Just feel for Seth more then anything, even if I wasn't feeling the faction and thought it was another played out heel dominating faction, he was still a prominant fixture of the show, leading to big time storylines in the coming months. It pretty much means all the build since Mania goes down the drain, he can't face Roman, and Bron and Bronson are kinda left out in the lurch if he's set to miss extended time with as serious as it looked. Sucks all around man. If Seth’s prognosis is 3-4 months have him keep it and do a surprise cash in at the December Saturday Nights Main Event or the Rumble. Meanwhile Heyman can manage Breaker and Reed as a monster team and have them take the tag titles (it could be a part of the reset the raw tag division needs). If it’s long term then have Breaker cash in at SummerSlam or Clash in Paris. Heyman can claim he used his leverage with the board to maneuver the contract away from Seth. Seth and Breaker then have a ready made feud when Seth returns.

This is obviously just speculation, but if it is an Achilles, then it follows the pattern of other athletes in recent years.
Both Kevin Durant and Tyrese Haliburton came back too quickly from calf injuries and that resulted in both guys tearing their Achilles in the NBA Finals in 2019 and last month.
If Rollins picked up a lower-leg injury on Monday against Penta as some are suggesting, then it might have been the same kind of overcompensation that led to his injury on Saturday night.

I thought it was a work until they did the finish. But it was crazy to watch live because it didnt seem like much and I can see the character Seth faking an injury to get out of a meaningless match.
That said I wish they best in recovery and it sucks for him and those involved with him.

Alverez now saying the last 40 minutes of the show were changed because of the injury. A lot of people said it seemed pretty obvious he was going to attempt to or successfully cash in on this show right?

My guess is that there would be a cash in (probably during the ref bump) but someone (LA Knight?) stops him.

I feel like him trying to do it again and failing just 2 weeks after he had during Cena/Punk would be redundant unless it was successful.

A cash in last night would make a lot of sense if you are trying to get the shine of the wrestling world back on you after another company has a huge show. It's awful for Rollins, and I don't know how these men and women do these kind of moves without killing their legs and knees all the time. I'm a huge football fan, and I think the two kinds of injuries you see most are players in a scrum getting pushed in ways they shouldn't be, and players coming down from a jump. The latter was even more prevalent when teams played on Astroturf, which had very little give, similar to a wrestling ring.

While his group has not been working for me I was excited at the potential cashing in on Cena or Rhodes and then Roman wins the rumble and Rollins and Reigns main event night 2 of mania.

Goldberg's promo at the end would have no place if Seth cashed in. It would be really weird to have Seth cash-in and take the moment and I doubt Goldberg would have agreed to it unless it lead to him vs Seth, which idt was happening either.

The way Knight reacted after he won confirmed to me that Rollins was legit injured.
Sucks for Rollins too because of his history with knee injuries, and being the MITB briefcase holder with a heavily-featured stable on Raw.

Going in, to the show, I did think there was a strong possibility of a cash-in. Not knowing that Goldberg would address the crowd, at the end. A couple of weeks ago, they teased a punk/Gunther feud. And I thought Punk would try to thwart the cash-in, he would fail, and that would launch that feud. I also thought Seth would lose the match to LA Knight in a bit of misdirection. Because WWE loves doing shit like that. But even with the injury, it’s pretty clear that was never the plan.
