basically every EA Sports game from 2004-05 onwards. as a sports gamer, the simulation style and gameplay have almost gotten too advanced. I mean wheres the old Tecmo style games as an alternative

I have to say Tomb Raider: Overrated pieces of Shit they are. And they led to Angelina Jolie starring in two smurfing shitty movies

First one was fun. After that, it was just overkill.

That's funny cause most people have praised FF XII for being something different and one of the best of the series. I'm enjoying it a lot right now. And as much as it pains me to say it, I'm going with the Mana series. I mean, Secret of Mana is the best game I have ever played, but the sequels that have made it to the US have been utter garbage, including the newest piece of crap they just tagged with the Mana logo.

Mario Party. The first one was good because in 1999 it was actually unique. Since then, Nintendo has rehashed the same damn game every year, and yet people keep buying it for reasons that I'll never understand. Even the Wii version is getting mediocre reviews for being just more of the same.

Although this really pains me to say this, being a Mega Man fan and all, but the Battle Network games were just more of teh same goddamned thing, and the controls sometimes got on my nerves.
Zelda lost me after Majora's Mask, but the rest of the games were great.
Resident: Evil was by far to me, the worst controlled series in existance, next to Tomb Raider. Those two series were horribly controlled and very blocky to begin with. Although they both look nicer now, the games still fall short. Resident: Evil 4 is exempt because that was a good game.

Resident Evil 4 was the first game in the series I actually enjoyed, and even that game was by no means flawless. I can't agree with you on Zelda though. I loved Majoras Mask. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were great games as well.

I would love Part 2 to get the Resi 4 treatment.

The first one was a fighting game.. Was it? Well then...I meant the one for PS2. Dynasty Warriors a real love or hate it game, it has either fans or people who think it sucks, if you like it you notice the differences between games but if you don't it's hard to see the differences. It's like Japan's Madden.

I'm going to go real controversial here and say God of War. The first one, to me, was just boring. Been there done that button mashing. When the second one came out I couldn't for the life of me understand the hype.

The Warriors(Dynasty and Samurai) franchise isn't necessarily getting worse as they go, they make improvements, but it's like Madden, same exact stuff but with a few new people and SLIGHTLY better graphics. Hopefully Orochi and Gundam will be better. Samurai Warriors is obsolete. Sengoku BASARA 2 has made it so.

You knew someone would say Final Fantasy. Somehow had to stand up to the SqEnix monster. That would be me. You're not the only one. Final Fantasy has to be the MOST overrated game series there is. The game is just so, plain. Like there's not much, if anything, that differentiates it from other RPGS. Halo is also guilty of this (Being a game that makes you go "meh").

I haven't played 2, but from my friends who've imported both, Orochi blows BASARA away and to the other side of the moon.

Final Fantasy is a very hot-and-cold series. can't say much about the first 3, they're before my time but 4,6,7 and 9 are amazing, 5 and 10 are fun if inessential and 8,X-2 and 12 are unplayable garbage.
add Kingdom Hearts to the list of lousy games that get good reviews and sell well. that game is an example of fanboy pandering of the worst kind, nothing truely redeeming or interesting in the games at all.
