I like.
Beer - Carlton Draught mostly. But I also like Crown Lager, VB, Stella Artois and Amstel.
I also like these drinks with Coke: Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Canadian Club and Johnny Walker.
I don't mind Vodka either with OJ or Lemonade.

An ice cold beer is good enough for me. Normally, I do Budweisers (exciting, huh?) but I like me a good import here and there. I'm beginning to like dark beers as well.

Beers - I tend to prefer pilsners and pale ales (IPAs, preferably, particularly when cooking and drinking in combo). Lighter lagers are good, depending on what I get. There's a peach weizen out there that I really like (can't remember the name, but the place I buy it from keeps it in the coldest part of the fridge for me), and I'm also a fan of Alaska Brewing Company's Summer Kolsch. Excellent with a twist of orange. Blue Moon is also a favorite.
Liquors - I loves me some Koltiska, which is a bajuca distilled in Sheridan, WY. Has a nice cinnamon flavor with a bit of bite behind it. Also enjoy Jagermeister for shots.
My liquor of choice is traditionaly bourbon (Jim Beam Black, actually, unless I splurge on Knob Creek or something). I grew up in Wyoming...I was, at one time, a rodeo cowboy. It came with the territory, and tossing back a shot of hard cowboy whiskey...god knows I love it.
Also drink a nip of vodka, particularly in summer. Enjoy a Cape Cod, or vodka with a lightly flavored soda water (in fact, the drink for sitting in the sun and laughing with friends has quickly become peach soda water and Smirnoff Raspberry vodka. Even with my strong pours, you can't taste the liquor...rather deceptive, in all actuality).
As far as cocktails go, I've been known to get right down to business with a Long Island (or the many derivatives of, particularly the AMF). I've recently rediscovered the Mojito, and I mix a fine Margarita (on the rocks or up, please, as blended waters down far too easily). Depending on the evening and who I'm with or who I'm pouring for, I generally adjust my flavors to fit the budget (since I quit being such a generous guy who purchased all the booze).
I also love a great Martini. Extra dry with Beefeater gin, please (meaning fill your shaker with rocks, pour in the dry vermouth, strain it, then put in the gin. Whatever was left on the rocks is the vermouth I get...though I've been known to have them just chill me a Martini stem with just cold gin before). I usually have them as an apertif before a nice meal that I'm out for or someone else is preparing (enjoying a Martini whilst cooking is a waste of a fine drink). I'm not partial to whether it's shaken or stirred, since it really doesn't have a major effect on flavor when I order them that dry. As a desert drink, I usually have a Manhattan dry and up (no cherry juice, in an old fashioned, strained, no rocks).
On the rare occaision I drink cheap, mass-produced American lagers, I generally stick with Coors Light tall boys. A pint of beer in a can...perfect for summer evening sitting in the yard with a steak or a burger on the grill (yeah, I cook a bit too...several years in restaurants and an uncle with two high end joints under his ownership will do that to ya).
I've said a mouthful. If anyone has any questions about booze, I can probably be a bit of a resource. I'm currently in charge of all ordering of liquor for my workplace, and I train all our new bartenders. Hit me up if you're interested.

Mostly Stella, but i also like Carling (Extra Cold) and Fosters a lot.
Vodka isn't my friend though, bad things happen when i'm drinking large amounts of the stuff. JD is great though, especially on steak.

Alcohol is great. Or, as Frank Sinatra said, "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's the best they'll feel all day" And while red wine and a few others have antioxidants and all those good things, research has found that people with anxiety really do benefit from the relaxing effects of alcohol. It's better to drink modertately than not, because you are reducing some of your stress and not letting it ferment into a heart attack later. Moderately being key. I've said a mouthful. If anyone has any questions about booze, I can probably be a bit of a resource. I'm currently in charge of all ordering of liquor for my workplace, and I train all our new bartenders. Hit me up if you're interested. This is good to know, once you learn about alcohol you really have an appreciation for it beyond getting buzzed. Austin where do you stand on the single malt scotch issue? I drink J&B and generally like it, but I have had people assure me that if I upgraded to Glenfiddich et al I would never go back.

If I'm drinking cans, then Bavaria. It's gorgeous. Actually, for all ye British wrestlecrappers out there, can ye get it over there? It's plentiful in Ireland. So cheap, so good. A gentleman's drink.
If I'm out though and I'm on the pints then it's either Fosters or Murphys (the stout, for when I'm still feeling rough from the night before)

Don't drink much, when I do it's usually Stella Artois, Guinness or Newcastle Brown Ale. Guinness is probably my favourite though, it's more unique and I like Irish pubs.

I like everything.
I like my martinis old school, Enough vermouth to actually taste. People ordering martinis super dry is more about pretense than actual flavor in my opinion. And nothing with vodka should be called a martini. Vodka martini = the Pat Boone of cocktails
For tequila, find yourself some Cazadores. Don't drink Cuervo, its so gross. Avoid any tequila thats called "Oro" or "Gold", it's artificially colored to appear like reposado.
Beers: right now Im into Leinenkugels, they gots lots of varieties which are all good. Love Guinness. Rolling Rock is a good cookout beer. Like wheatbeers and will try anything
Gotta love the white russian. its the perfect thing to go with really spicy food like Buffalo wings

Last time I had beer, I ended up spending the night taking to an air conditioner unit. So I tend to not drink much beer.
I absolutely love Arbor Mist though. That and when I go out most of my drinks involve Vodka and Whiskey. And I love the fruity drinks too, but I can never remember what's in them.

Labatt or Molson. Maybe a Smirnoff whatever-my-wife-drinks for flavor.
I'm also partial to a few shots of 1800 with a couple of "sloe gin sunrises" (Sloe Gin & Orange Juice or Sunny D; they're both good)

Cazadores? Really? That's some nasty stuff. There's a LOT of better tequilas, and when I have more time, I shall be back with a list for you ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Fruity girl drinks, please! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Watermelon is the best, and apple takes a close second. No beer. EDIT: Also, when I go to my cousin's...all we drink is Patron. Doesn't matter what kind. They have tons of it. My aunt and uncle used to own a store. Yummy stuff! It's almost like drinking water, as it's just so smooth.
