That Paramount TV one was crazy. It started out normal, then they just forgot how to make music.

Another is the one that used to come after the end of Three's Company. Just a sweeping logo with no music. Can't find it on youtube though.

The one that used to creep me the heck out was the one where there's a picture of a dog, and a guy says "Sit, Ubu, sit. Good dog."
One of the most chilling things I've ever experienced.

A little off topic, but those one's with the kid in the bed reminded me of this classic intro from HBO. Edit: For you young ones that wonder why an intro for HBO shows the dad at the beginning turning on the VCR instead of HBO, that wasn't a VCR. That is what used to be known as a cable box, which used to be needed to watch your cable programming.

Have you seen the series 'Life On Mars'? In one episode during a dream the girl comes to life and talks to the main character.

Remember the first ones where you had to actually turn down the TV because they were so damn loud. Used to scare the crap out of me after watching Murder She Wrote with my mom and grandma. God bless the 80s.

I hated the Dic ones, the first time I ever saw it I was lying in bed (I was like 3) and the second that happened and looked out my window

I'm glad I'm not the only person creeped out by them. Almost ALL of them are creepy. What's up with that?

I see it as a marketing ploy... I mean little kids are tought to face their fears and they fear those logos. So every night they make sure to tune in to see if they can "beat" the logo. Thus giving the show ratings.

Thus giving the show ratings. I used to do that. I wanted to show that logo. I remember if I had to go to the doctor or was home for summer all day it was PBS- all their old shows like Reading Rainbow and Wishbone (with the creepy Rennaissance closing logo) then that DiC thing would come up and I'd feel ready leave for the doctors'.

I hated the Hanna-Barberra one, I don't even know why I hated it. It sucked though because it would be after every episode of Jetsons and Flinstones (my two favourite shows at the time) so I couldn't avoid it.
