That is the most atrocious thing I seen. Not even cool atrocious. Add Ultraman then I'll buy ten copies.

Yeah, I'm glad that I'm not just being anal, but, hardcore and casual Godzilla fans alike, and even non-fans, can all agree its a HORRIBLE design. And Ultraman won't be in because he's not a Toho creation, sadly.

In a surprising bit of information, Atari's Australian site is mentioning Godzilla Unleashed for the PS2 as well as the Wii. If this is true and not an error, it's very surprising, as the PS2 version of Godzilla: Save the Earth was kind of buggy and the graphics not as good as its X-Box counterpart. Should any further versions be announced, I'll mention it here. www.atari.com.au/games/overview.do?id=1023Also, a new IGN blog has been posted on the game. No new info, except for some mention on how some of the controls will work. Also, I love how someone writes in and bashes Krystalak, the horrid original monster seen on page 1, but they don't acknowledge it lol blogs.ign.com/Pipeworks_Software/2007/08/08/62722/

Ever played War of the Monsters? It's by the same people who brought you the Twisted Metal series...and it rocks.

Yeah. I rented it once. Hated it, but I seem to be in the minority there.

Updated with the rumored release date for the Wii version: November 13th. Am also hearing rumors that we may see more monsters officially revealed this week.

I hope they bring back mechagodzilla 2 and his cheap absorb move from the movies. they pulled it off in a 2d godzilla fighter for the Super Famicon... but that was only released in japan www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQsJLSI0mzssee. I still want to get that game and play it since it looks like the best godzilla game ever made.

PM me your e-mail address. I'll have to look for the file on my computer, but I'll track it down and send it to you sometime this week. You'll need a SNES emulator and you'll really want a gamepad as opposed to the keyboard cause it plays just like SF 2.

I once had a Sergeant in the Marines who was heavily into Godzilla, even getting old Godz tattooed on his shoulder.
I never knew Godzilla was a good guy, perhaps someone could give me a quick and dirty history.
Either that, or I can go to Wikipedia...

I never knew Godzilla was a good guy, perhaps someone could give me a quick and dirty history. Either that, or I can go to Wikipedia... Long story short, in the mid-60s, around his fifth or so film, they opted to start aiming the film series at a more juvenile audience, so they had him turn "good" and become a saviour of the world against various menaces. After the series died out in '75, that was it for "good" G, and when it was revived in 1985, he was taken back to what he had been in the beginning: A force of nature, neither good nor evil, though he often ended up helping Earth (after, y'know, trashing a city or two).

I never knew Godzilla was a good guy, perhaps someone could give me a quick and dirty history. Either that, or I can go to Wikipedia... The Godzilla in the first film was killed by the Oxygen Destroyer after a rampage. Another Godzilla appears in Godzilla Raids Again with Anguirus but they can't kill Godzilla because Dr. Serizawa destroyed the formula before he died. They bury it under ice. Godzilla comes back in Mothra Vs. Godzilla. Godzilla as usual is destroying everything but Mothra stops Godzilla. In Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster. Godzilla and Rodan are fighting each other not caring for anybody else. A Venusian warns people that Ghidorah is going to destroy the earth. So they get Mothra to convince Godzilla and Rodan to fight off Ghidorah. Godzilla and Rodan turn face and defeat Ghidorah.

Yeah its great, it was just like a wrestling storyline in Ghidrah. Godzilla and Rodan just keep fighting each other, Mothra gets pissed and gives up and goes off to take on Ghidrah by herself (This would be like the wrestling equivilent of Funaki going after The Great Khali), Godzilla and Rodan see the pounding Mothra takes and run in to help out. Great stuff really.
