Superman doesn't suck
The Golden Age was a wackier time where they did a ton of imaginary stories ( as Alan Moore said: "aren't they all?")
Luthor just wanted to spare him so he could kill him later.

Also Liefeld is a notorious swiper. Why's the one in blue taking a deuce? Because he realised he is in a Liefeld drawing and taking a crap can only improve things for this X-treme* character. * The term X-treme is a registered trademark of Rob Liefeld. all rights reserved

How many Silver Age cliches can you count in this cover? Worst cover ever? More like BEST COVER EVER! You can't go wrong with UFOs, rocket ships, space monkeys, robots, sharks, dinosaurs, nuclear explosions, and chicks with big boobs wearing skintight clothing!

That's it... I'm bringing out the big guns. This cover, my young padawans, is the smurfing crap. Big guns. Pouches. Tapering limbs. Bulging muscles. Pouches. DynAmIIC AKSCHUN!!! Odd headgear. Pouches. But at least there are no ankle high boxes, shrubs, hills dust/smoke clouds. He actually attempted to draw feet.

It's a classic, but it hasta be posted, brace yourself guys.. >.< Though, one thing I don't get, is why everyone is so offended by this PETA covers...? I mean, I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't think there is anything wrong with them. When a child ends up making such important moral questions to their parents, something is going right with the world.

(INSERT IMAGE OF ANYTHING FROM CHAOS COMICS HERE) Ok I take some offense to that. I never really read the Chaos! line, but the comics weren't that bad. Ok yeah the Lady Death and Purgatory were just T&A but the covers to the Evil Ernie line were cool. The covers were just simple. What's wrong with that? I'm slightly biased because I met Brian Paulido and he's a cool cat (also met Rob Lamfield who is a total dick, but that's not why I have the hate for him. His art just plain sucks).

That's.... the most horrible thing I've ever seen. Isn't this the era of the Comics Code being it's strictest? I'd think killing teenage boys would be a violation.

Pretty sure that's not Rob, either. Meh that's what I get for googlin' Liefeld and posting whatever came up. The Wolvie's apparently his though at least given what was on the page here under the art: Rob Liefeld and Scot Williams, What If? (Vol. 2) #7. © and ™ by Marvel Characters, Inc. Earth 8912 What If? (Vol. 2) #7 (Dec 1989) – “What If Wolverine Was an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?” Writer: Jim Valentino; Penciler: Rob Liefeld; Inker: Scott Williams Wolverine is approached by Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. after his battle with the Hulk in this parallel world to help root out LMDs (Life Model Decoys -- life-like androids) sent by the evil organization Hydra to infiltrate S.H.I.E.LD. Aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier, Wolverine agrees to help and then proceeds to eviscerate Dum-Dum Dugan, Nick Fury's second-in-command, revealing him to be a Hydra LMD. Impressed, Fury sends Wolverine out with a Russian agent, Black Widow, to track down and destroy all LMDs aboard the Helicarrier. 45 minutes later, Wolverine and Black Widow return having decimated hundreds of LMDs and declaring the Helicarrier LMD-free. Shortly thereafter, Nick Fury leads Wolverine and Black Widow to the Hydra base where, after wiping out the Hydra defenses, they find Baron Strucker and Madame Hydra torturing the real Dum-Dum Dugan. Wolverine slices off Strucker's bionic arm, Black Widow knocks out Madame Hydra, and Nick Fury defeats Strucker in one-on-one combat. With the mission a success, Wolverine officially joins S.H.I.E.L.D. helping Nick Fury and Black Widow to take down evil mastermind Modok and his AIM organization. Soon Wolverine rises to the rank of Second-in-Command, an exalted position for one not born in the U.S. , fighting alongside the likes of Captain America . Later when Professor Xavier asks Wolverine to join the X-Men, Wolverine declines but offers to use S.H.I.E.L.D. resources to help the mutant cause. At the same time, Nick Fury is attacked and killed by Baron Strucker. At Fury's funeral, Dum-Dum Dugan informs Wolverine that the feisty Canadian will become the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., despite his nationality. Wolverine uses his authority to stop Steven Lang from re-creating the Sentinels, forestalling Jean Grey's transformation into the Phoenix. He further discredits Senator Robert Kelly and defeats the Mutant Registration Act, helping to teach mutants and humans to peacefully co-exist in this world. www.typingmonkeys.com/alternate_01.html that's the link where I swiped that from... unless it's inaccurate. I have that issue, and, it is, in fact, a Liefield cover.

Yeah, the Scott Williams inking threw me off. He's from the Jim Lee school, so anything he inks tends to have that feel.

It does look different than most of his stuff. But that does point out how much 'tracers' actually do.

I think I've heard for years that a lot of inkers have covered Liefeld's stuff by improving it so it doesn't look AS bad. Only thing I think I ever saw him draw that looked decent was Red Skull. Actually made him look cool.
