I BEGGED my Dad to let me watch The Shining when I was really little. Honest to god, that movie wrecked me for a long time. I wouldn't even touch a horror movie for a long time afterwards. Now they're my favorite genre, go figure. Though dumb as it may sound, I still haven't watched The Shining since. An ex of mine bought me a copy of The Shining as part of a Christmas present; she realized it was the only major Kubrick film I didn't own. Having seen it as a child, I still haven't open the plastic. I keep it away from my other movies. So yeah, it screwed me up.

Jurassic Park, for the scene of the severed hand falling on the woman' s shoulder alone. I was like 7 or 8 when I saw that and it kept me away from this movie for at least five years. That was the only movie that I was a HUGE mark for,I loved seeing it over and over as a kid An American Tail First movie I ever went to as a kid in a theater I think... the cat scene with the rain and thunder scared the hell out of me and made me cry so my mom took me home. That's honestly the only example I can think of. American Tail was a favorite of mine as well The only movie that I can think of that freaked me out as a kid has to be a weird Christian Movie about hell, it was supposed to scare me straight and that it did. For a supposedly Christian Movie, it was deeply disturbing for me as a kid.

For some reason Nightmare on elm street 2 scared me more than part one
Espcially when freddy goes
"you have the body and I have the brain" and pulls his top of his head off to expose his brain.

The funny thing is the girl on the cover she's like that the whole movie. She's dead from the start and all she does is sit there dead staring out the window.

Freddy Krueger scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, my brother had a mask and the glove and always scared me with it.
I remember there was a Freddy TV show that came on after SNL back in the day, it scared the piss out of me.
Around that same time the Crypt Keeper weirded me out too.

That show was 6 Sides of awesome! And then there was the Friday the 13th series, which was good in it's own right, but didn't have any friggin' Jason!

Lets see..
Pet Cemetery freaked me out first time around.
The remake of Nightmare at 20000 feet for the Twilight Zone movie had the freaky gremlin on the wing. That thing was tearing stuff up.
And then there were episodes of the Twilight Zone that were quite freaky as well.
Living Doll was kind of scary.
Creepshow. Undead Nathan Grantham yelling about his cake certainly made me jump.
Most of all. That stinkin clown in Poltergeist. I hate that clown.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it was a cartoon film in which people were brainwashed. Saw it on TV.
There was a scene where the brainwashed people (about 3-4 of them) mooned somebody out a window.
For some reason that freaked me out. Perhaps the combination of the mooning plus the brainwashing...

Nightmare on Elm Street
Poltergeist
Twilight Zone the Movie
The Exorcist
It
Night Of the Living Dead
The Ring (Japanese Version) - I came home from school and this was on Showtime many many years ago. When that little bitch came out of the TV. That was it.
The Ring (The Remake) I don't care what anyone thinks, this movie worked. At least this one did.
For some reason, I stayed away from Alien Abduction type movies as a kid. For a good reason.

The opening scene in The great mouse detective When the bat attacks the professor, freaked me out for the longest time. Also when the villian went all beastial as the detective was trying to escape freaked me out cause it was the first time I'd seen a hero getting beat down like that.
Also freaked out a little bit when I watched Batman: mask of the phantasm cause there were some creepy moments in there when I was younger.
other then that, not a whole lot freaked me out. I tend to avoid horror movies for the most part, oh wait, there was a sci-fi movie called dog soldiers. Hella creepy werewolf film. Had nightmares for a while after that one.

The Large Marge Scene.
The part in Superman, where he flies up into the sky yelling, at one time I used to run into the bathroom to hide from that scene. I still turn down the sound.
Ernest also scared me.

Stephen King's Thinner. That movie was just creepy and wrong in many ways. Granted, I was 10 when I saw it, but still.
And The Witches also f***ed with my head a little bit. But I now know that Anjelica Huston is kinda hot, so all thoughts about her turning me into a mouse or whatever has gone.

I know this is bad, but honestly, when I saw Cinderella (disney) as a kid, one scene sorta disurbed me as a kid. I wount say Freak out or scared, more like it left an inpretion on me.
thsi scene w/ Cinderella , who slaved all day to make a dress gets ripped apart and shit by her step sisters. It was the craziest tihng i've ever seen, the greatest heal act ever.
