I saw Foo Fighters on Wednesday night. They were extremely good but don't have the emotional weight I need to get into a band properly.
Ryan Adams, however, I saw on Monday and was the best gig I've been to (excluding the encore).

I saw TMBG twice back in July. It had been the first time I'd seen them live in ten years. Completely worth the wait!

I saw 3 inches of blood, Behemoth, and Lamb of God back in August. That show was f***ing amazing.

I saw 3 Inches of Blood, Lamb of God, and Hatebreed at the end of August. The former two were INCREDIBLE, Hatebreed not so much. I nearly shat myself when Lamb of God pulled out 11th Hour. And last weekend I saw Streetlight Manifesto with the Suburban Legends and Westbound Train. GREAT show, awful crowd. I nearly got dropped on my head while I was crowd surfing, and every time a pit would open up, a bunch of dumbasses would run into the middle and start pushing, making it IMPOSSIBLE to dance. Good show regardless.

I saw Nightwish last weekend. By far the best show I've seen in the past 3 years, and one of the 5 best I've ever seen. Still waiting for my pics to get developed so I can post them.

I just saw Behemoth w/ Job for a Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath the Massacre. Behemoth was absolutely incredible, without a doubt the best band I've ever seen live. The rest of it was still really good, with Gojira coming in the next best act, but nothing compared to the headliners. I saw that same line up back on the 4th. I have to say that Behemoth deserved better than those supporting bands around them. Two totally different sounds. The crowd no-sold a couple of chorus lines so badly that Nergal ended up yelling "JESUS f***ING CHRIST!!" in the middle of the song. Other relatively recent shows for myself include.... -Enslaved/Faceless/Arsis/The Agonist- The Agonist and Faceless sucked balls compared to Enslaved -Dark Funeral/Naglfar/Daath -Therion -Finntroll -Katatonia/Insomnium/Scar Symmetry/Swallow the Sun -Kamelot/Leaves' Eyes

I went to an Obituary show a few months ago. It was pretty good. Chthonic opened the show and they were great for an opening band. Afterwards, 2 shitty bands (Hemlock and I can't remember the name of the other one) went on and it got kinda dull. Then, Alabama Thunderpussy came out and blew me away. Finally, Obituary got the entire place moshin and goin nuts. It was a f***in good time.

Yeah, I saw Behemoth and Job For A Cowboy when they opended for Cannibal Corpse here earlier this year. Damn hell ass.... I need money, transportation and the inclination to travel five hours by myself... (the dude I used to attend shows with up and died last year... possibly due to the overload of awesomeness from seeing Behemoth.) Fortunately, the last show I saw included both Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse... so I'm not a virgin to their shows. But I'm eagerly anticipating a return viewing.

Swallow the Sun is such an amazing band! IDK Insomnium or these bands-Faceless/Arsis/The Agonist who are these bands like/what are these bands like, apparently Faceless and The Agonist were not that great live ...

I saw the Hold Steady twice this year. The first time I haven't heard of them and my cousin took me since it was a free concert. Now They quickly became my favorite band. The 2nd show also free had the Old 97's play before them and they were pretty good too.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at the Mellon Arena last Wednesday. It was my 13th Springsteen concert since 1992. Awesome show, plus it'll probably be one of the last events I attend at the ol' Igloo.
