his truck too. hmmm, is bobby higher on the list then Peggy? Of course not... that boy ain't right. Actually in later seasons he has show a lot of affection and even pride for Bobby, meanwhile he barely even looks at Peggy. He really loves Bobby, he just doesn't understand him, but he gets him more every day(and a cartoon showing that type of growth is amazing). So bobby is way ahead of Peggy. don't forget his drinking buddies...other than Bill anyway He has Bill's name tattooed on the back of his head, and he went to jail for him. In the general the things he has done for the guy show a great deal of love, tough love sometimes, but still more love than he shows Peggy. He won't even go all the way to dallas for games, yet he will go to Mexico for beers. I think that is because he hates Dallas. I never thought of it, but I think you are right! I have always thought the show did a wonderful job developing Bobby because any one who comes from Hank and Peggy is going to be one screwed up kid. |

I think that is because he hates Dallas. That reminded me of this quote by Hank... "Dallas? I don't want you goin' to Dallas at all. That place is crawlin' with crack-heads and debutantes, and half of 'em play for the Cowboys." ;D |

I am now completely obsessed with this show. The WC Forum rules! And excellent points to those who have talked about Bobby. Truth be told - this is such an awesome show, character-driven and excellent development. Really, the entire PREMISE of the show is that Hank wants Bobby to be himself, and the show's gradual goal (which it actually has, *cough* The Simpsons *cough*) was Hank's acceptance of Bobby for who he is. It's also my belief that the character of Peggy represents America's celebration of mediocrity. Because really, people, she's nothing special - but she thinks she's awesome just because she's not stupid (as represented by the many "random character strokes Peggy's ego and she goes completely out of control with it" episodes, like the artist episode). This thread FTW. Propane doen't think it can speak better Spanish then Mexicans, or invented Spegettii and meatballs. Don't you mean Spa-PEGGY and meatballs? Because it's not just spaghetti and meatballs - she puts spices in it! |

I just remembered that one episode where Hank keeps dreaming about grilling and Nancy naked. Peggy thinks it's because Hank is bored with her, but in the end the dreams were all about Propane and grilling.

Well I prefer charcoal grills over propane myself, but given the choice, I'd take propane over Peggy any day. Peggy is a self-righteous know-it-all who grates on my nerves like no other person cartoon character can. Now, Luanne ... if she were a real person/I were a cartoon, I'd take me some of that! ;D Speaking of Luanne, does anyone else notice she's been pregnant for over a YEAR(!) and is STILL not showing(!!)?
