I've never taken the time to listen to her but I can't shake the feeling she's more hype than substance. Give me some thoughts.

Basically; do you really like her music or do you find it's more of a "guilty pleasure?"

She writes some of the best hip hop/electro/music in general i've heard in the past couple of years, i have absolutely no idea what the hell Blender magazine is so it's got nothing to do with hyepe. A friend reccomended her a long time ago and i've been hooked ever since.

She deserves to be a lot bigger, compared to some of the female solo artists who've made it popular in the past two or three years.

Think of Blender as kinda like an american version of...uhhh...whatever the most important mainstream music rag in the UK is (but only if the music rag tries to paint itself as 'cutting edge' and 'underground' and 'not mainstream' while being a major corporate pile of corporate youth mind control while carrying around a sort of pretentiousness and WAY over inflated sense of self worth/importance...or something like that)

Ahh right, she is pretty popular critically but the mainstream don't seem to have caught on at all which is fine by me because it means being able to listen to her and talk about her without some fools i'd totally avoid at all costs giving her the reputation of only being latched onto by cool kids who like her clothes.

She is well worth checking out though, seriously one of the best and most innovative female artists in the last couple of years
