Diameter 10,465 kilometers (6,498.765 miles) I'm guessing they had to have grabbed that from some source material. or make it up off the top of their head...my home planet (Xesda) is 381122430KM in diameter. see you can make reindeer droppings up off the top of your head or again, it can be taken from something. There are an assload of Star-Wars related books, I'd be surprised if the size of well-known planets were not in at least one of them. Hell, even the Starfox 64 Strategy guide has not only the size of the planets in the Lylat System, but the class, gravity, and average albedo. I have no smurfing clue what albedo is (well i have somewhat of an idea) but it's relevant to SOMEONE.

Computations out the wazoo. Mind you, some of these computations are based off of assumptions, some reasonable (the power exerted by the Death Star by assuming that Alderaan is similar to Earth) or unreasonable (power of a Star Destroyer's turbolaser based on the scene where one destroys an asteroid while chasing the Falcon).
