Hey....isn't this a new forum record? The fastest tournament on the board?
I never seen a tournament before end in 1 day.
I mean, we blazed right through it, especially with the multi-votes-in-one-minute-rounds,

Dammit, I knew they were gonna win this one. Although it was a great show so it is deserved, Rugrats however probably defines 90's television for me, that was my show in the day.
But man Nick had a hell of a lot of great shows in the 90's.

Then again...not increasing the votes needed to win until the 3rd round DID speed things up.

7 hours flat, from the time Meat started the first thread, to the time the winning vote was cast at the end.

Hey, Latino Meat, since this went by so damn fast, tomorrow, or whenever you can get around to it, can you do a Ultimate 1990's Cartoon Network Tournament?

While I enjoy some Kel & Kenan more, won't ever deny the pure awesomeness of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, so this winner is something we can all be proud of.

I honestly thought Rocko was going to sweep Are You Afraid Of The Dark, in fact that's the show I would've predicted winning the whole thing.

NBC Post Game Show... Brought to you by Shasta Cola
Hi, and welcome to the post game show... brought to you by Shasta!
Low on cash? Need a quick pick me up? Don't mind horrid taste? DRINK A SHASTA!
That was a cool tournament. I don't agree with the winner, but you have to give credit where it's due. They outlasted many good shows.
I was upset that Salute Your Shorts fell to Doug. And I couldn't believe that Alex Mack lost so quickly. But tonight was a night of legend. Never again will we see what we saw tonight on this very board. Rugrats was the early favorite... but did anyone see Are You Afraid of the Dark standing tall at the end of the day? I know I didn't early on.
But, just like all dark horses, a buzz started to form around the Sweet Sixteen... and at that moment, we knew that we were all witnessing something special.
And no tournament is complete without controversy, as not once, but TWICE we had to make a call out to Gorilla Monsoon for a final decision. That just goes to show that ANYTHING can happen in the WW... er... WC Forums.
In other news... A Cartoon Network Tournament?
Is there anyone from the 90s on Cartoon Network that can match the pure awesome that is Johnny Bravo? It would be a large undertaking, and if there were 64 combatants, we might have something. We might just relax and let the specialness of tonight settle in as well.
There are many more ideas in this promoters head, so don't worry...
What did you all think? How about the Nostaglia as Ren and Stimpy has a strong showing, but then topples upon itself? Or how about My Brother and Me getting a lot of vocal support, but faltering quite early?
This was one for the ages, ladies and gentlemen.

This tournament was the standard by which all other tournaments will be judged from now on. That "Greatest TV Theme" tourney started 2 weeks ago and is still going on. That Robot Chicken Flip Channel Tourney started back in September and still isn't out of round 1.
This tournament was done in 7 hours flat. Greatest tournament in the history of our sport.
