I know it's a little late now, but I just heard about this yesterday. A friend of my brother insists that there is a scene or two missing from a Christmas Story that hasn't been shown on tv in years and is not on the dvd. That's all the info I have on this, Anyone here an avid viewer from long ago?

Well, for what it's worth Wikipedia mentions nothing about any deleted scenes or lost scenes....

On the two-disc special edition, there's an Easter egg where you can read the script of a scene that didn't make the cut. You can't watch it, however.

Well, for what it's worth Wikipedia mentions nothing about any deleted scenes or lost scenes.... Meh. I remember clearly when I watch The Empire Strikes Bask in the theatre back in 1980 that there was a 1-2 second long scene of Luke's hand and lit lightsabre falling down the mining shaft. That is not mentioned there either.

That is not mentioned there either. Did they take that out? Apparently. I've watched it hundreds of times and only saw it in the theatre release.
