This may not be of interest to anyone, but I just got home, and haven't slept since I got out of bed yesterday morning... and I just need to vent.
Thing is, two of my best friends and me went to this concert with a bunch of local, shitty bands we didn't know a thing about. Nevermind. We didn't go for the bands, we just wanted to spend some time together.
So... we get our tickets, which was actually double the price that was stated on their website, we go inside to catch the first band, which f***ing sucked, so instead we bought a couple of beers and went out for a cigarette instead.
Anyway. That was to be our first and second to last beer of the evening. Much thanks to the bloodsucking dicks charging so much for the beer that I could have bought a twenty pack of cigarettes. But, hey, I've been there before and bowed down, but now I'm pissed, so... they suck.
Then, some guy comes over to my friend and calls him a f***ing nazi, based on the clothes he wore. He claimed to be a guard, and said that if my friend went to the bathroom and turned his "provocative" t-shirt inside out, everything woukd be fine. Now. To be honest, he does dress to make people react, but still, keep in mind that at this point, we've behaved like your girlfriend/boyfriend having dinner with your parents; or if you're not too keen on metaphors: we should in theory have been treated accordingly.
Not wanting any trouble, he gave me his beer and tried to go to the bathroom to do as told.
Except. He didn't get that far, because on the way he was stopped by not one but two guards, telling him that he was no longer welcome. Apparantly, there were people that had threatened to be violent against him. My friend tries to explain the situation, but ignoring him completely, they ESCORT him out, and trust me, it was not needed.
Anyway. My other friend can't exactly stay behind, and I tried to talk to the two guards that did this, but in response to me being calm and trying to explain that he was about to remove what provoked I was told he didn't want to hear what I had to say.
I told him I wasn't drunk, I wasn't being a smartass and I didn't act aggressivly, which he replied that I was now thrown out too, and that I had to step outside. On what grounds? I was being difficult. Hell, I offered to give my friend my own t-shirt, I tried to tell him that we behaved well, and asked why they didn't do anything about the ones that, oh you know, said they were going to kick someone's ass... but I swear, he went like this: "Don't want to hear it, not interested, nanaana".
So, I'm a pretty laid back guy, and I'm always the one that can talk people out of doing dumb things. I usually try to be diplomatic and a nice guy, but these people threw us out of a concert we payed to see not because we were doing anything wrong (which, if was the case, I would have no problem being thrown out) but because of a PARODIC t-shirt featuring a Swastika,
Seeing as getting through to the two guards seemed to fail, my friend called the police and told them that he was thrown out because of what he wore, and that no one even gave him a chance to state his case, and they told him they had no right, but they were busy and couldn't do anything.
Well. They could actually, because one of the guards called the police a couple of minutes later, because we were so difficult that we actually tried to plead our case and being as calm as calm can be. Of course, the guard tells the cops that they have a problem with a DRUNK, VIOLENT NAZI, and that they needed a car.
Wthin ten minutes of my friends rejection, two officers arrive, and I think that finally it'll be possible to explain stuff, but what I got was a some old fascist telling me that I had no right saying a thing, since it was my nazi friend who was the problem. Ever tried talking to a wall?
He said they were done, told us to leave and gave us a damn military salute before he got in his car again. But we leave. We have no rights, obviously... we start walking to my place, and then the cops come driving after us, stops and steps out asking for ID. Never mind that we never actually caused any trouble and did what we were told. But. You can't say no... so I take my ID out to show it to him, but wait... HE DIDN'T NEED TO SEE MINE!
He only wanted my friend's. He then proceeded to give him/us a history lesson about the nazis and all that, getting about one or two facts correct along the way. My friend says he can understand how his look might agitate some people, but at the same time, he's no nazi (and I know this), but before he could finish, the cop called him a nazi, and in the process banned all of us from every bar, pub or whatever in the area (!) ... for a damn t-shirt?
Seriously. Authority figures should at least be capable of treating people like damn people... really... we paid to get in, and got thrown out for a piece of clothing. No one gives a flying f*** about the people actually threatening to become violent though.
And now I haven't slept, I'm trying to write some kind of ... I don't know... something, and mail it to the local paper. I don't know about you, but I kind of think there's something wrong when fascist assholes with low self esteem are put in jobs where they can decide much more than what socks to wear.
And this was supposed to be a fun evening, being the first tine we've been together the three of us for a long time. Instead, we wasted money and time on being openly harassed for not doing a god damn thing. I'm about to pop a vein.
