Patriots get 16 wins Giants put up one hell of a fight and can walk away with their heads held high If the Giants can apply this level of playing they may survive next week. I hope for their sake that they didn't wear themselves out. Tampa Bay is no slouch. Overall, part of me is glad they won. Now if they lose in the playoffs, we can officially call them the biggest disappointment in NFL history (Ryan Leaf gets bumped down to #2).

That was some of the worst clock management I have ever seen in my life by the Giants there at the end.

Wow.
3 minutes to play, and half of that time is spent on 3 plays.
Wow.
So much for a hurry up offense.

I honestly think the Gints just gave up after that last touchdown.
They're getting bounced by Tampa.

Wow. 3 minutes to play, and half of that time is spent on 3 plays. Wow. So much for a hurry up offense. It was a pain to watch. Not from a standpoint of pulling for anyone, but from a stand point of just liking to see some solid, crisp, well-played ball. Taking their sweet time in huddles, not getting out of bounds, calling sneaks, calling crappy plays for the situation, not even trying to hurry up to the line of scrimage, kicking the ball, etc.

I didn't get it.

Like there was no question they were going to get it after all that, so they could take their sweet time.

Patriots need test; Belichick fired after Saturday's Win; Shell brought in.
In a move that shocked everyone from Boomer Esiason to the peanut guy in section 121 of Arrowhead Stadium, Patriots owner Robert Kraft fired Bill Belichick on Saturday night in an effort to give the team a test. "As much as we love Bill and respect him, this winning is getting old, tonight I gave Bill his walking papers and decided to bring in Art Shell to coach this team in the playoffs." Contrary to popular belief, Belichick, who had no comment, was not angry or shocked by the news. Patriots record setting WR Randy Moss however went ballistic and spit on, mooned and defecated on three Giants Stadiums security attendants following hearing the news and let loose an expletive filled tirade, "(Expletive deleted) this man. This is (expletive deleted). Why in the (expletive deleted) would they hire HIM? I ain't playing for that (expletive deleted). (Expletive deleted)." Tom Brady, the Patriots' record setting QB, had other feelings, "I just want to win. It does not matter who our coach is."
Art Shell could not be reached for comment.

Shula and his boys can put away the champagne and have a glass of shut up juice.
Great effort by the Giants. They showed some balls tonight

BTW, not to take anything away from Randy Moss (read: to take away from Randy Moss), but Jerry Rice caught his 22 TD catches in a 12-game season. Just saying...

But yeah. They do need to win it all.... but.....after watching Shula run his mouth most of the season and then cheerlead during the Ravens game.....and then seeing crackhead Mercury Morris make an ass of himself...it feels good to see the Pats pull it off

That's exactly what I thought too, and I kept saying "That's not going to work" which given how they kicked the ball right into Vrabel's(sp?) hands pretty much proved the point.

If you had something for the longest (rather it was a physical object, or a record, or whatever), and you thought the only reason someone took it from you was that they had cheated, wouldn't you be upset? Heck, to me Hank Aaron is still the Home Run King! I personaly don't care. I'm not for or against Shula, or the Pats until they get to the SB, as I'm pulling for Green Bay. I want Favre to get another one! I don't even know what Morris did.

It isnt so much that Im upset at him for feeling how he feels (I do feel like he should have given it a rest after a while), it was more the rediculousness of him being in the booth alongside the two jackasses on MNF a few weeks back. They might as well have tossed a Ravens jersey on him Morris did a really stupid rap about how the Patriots werent on his block yet....and then he was on WEEI every other day shooting off his mouth

That is a little premature, and ridiculous.
