To his credit Moore has been doing good. Not a Panther fan by any means but this late in the season it's good to see guys doing well that might give a team hope for next year. Same thing with my Raiders and Shaun Hill of the 49'ers. If he isn't playing great, then he's at least playing 3,500 times better than Alex Smith.

Ill be picking the Giants in the Yahoo pickem by default as always. But dammit I do want to see the Pats go undefeated. It's not a big deal if the Giants win or not. A win would mean they might flipflop opponents with the Vikings in the wildcard. They will get either the Seahawks or Bucaneers and honestly I will be suprised if they win. Giants are currentlly 16-23 in playoff games. Giants have a habit of mailing it in during wildcard week. The Vikings in 96 then the Panthers in 05, The 49rs in 02 and last year they had a close loss to the Eagles.
Giants have really only done well when they made it to the second round bye and had homefield all the way. The Giants are 4-5 in wildcard games. So theyre chances are 50/50.

Redskins up on the Vikings 9 to 0. This will be big if the Skins can pull it off. They just might sneak in the backdoor to the wildcard.

And the Falcons suck again! Ha! I stopped watching that game after the first three drives. It was like watching the Washington Generals having a charity game between their A and B team. Plus, I was still pissed that NFL rules stated that a Cardinals home sellout would mean no Pats/Dolphins on TV for us. Can't they make a "utterly crappy home team" loophole in there? Call it the Arizona Cardinals rule.

Well, my Patriots are 15-0. And to response, I have this to say: Whoop-dee-friggin'-doo. The undefeated season is the most overused storyline to this Patriots team. Is it great to go undefeated? Absolutely. But as far as I'm concerned, 15-0 or 16-0 doesn't mean a damned thing unless this comes back to Foxboro in February: Anything less would be a disappointment. 16-0 and losing in the playoffs would be absolutely intolerable. This Patriots team would go down as the greatest in history if they won the Super Bowl and went 15-1 or 14-2, just as easily as they'd go down as the greatest team in history if they go 16-0 and win it all. All that matters is winning the Super Bowl. Nothing else matters to me at this moment. That said, there is no way the Giants win on Saturday night. The Giants have already wrapped everything up, and they've got nothing to play for. The Patriots, meanwhile, are gunning to shut up Mercury Morris and Garo Yepremian en route to Arizona in February. I can sum up Saturday night's game in the following Rocky Balboa reference: "Yo man, there's no reason for either one of us to get hurt in this fight. I'll do my best to carry you, make sure you save face, there'll be no embarassment. But I promise you, if you try to press me...you hit me, you hurt me, you hit me low, cheap shot me...I'll get you out of there."

Can we run Peterson more than 4 times before giving up on it for the game. There's eight men in the box and Jackson still can't complete a pass or making the passing game even a thought in the back of the Skins' mind. As Madden said, he doesn't have NFL mechanics and the Vikes have been beating teams by forcing turnovers and establishing a basic running game offset by a bit of a passing game. Tonight? Negative turnover ratio, no answer to teams daring them to pass and a pretty big deficit going into the half. I still think even if they blow it tonight, the Vikes can beat Denver without much issue and dash the Redskins mini-run they've had since their tragedy and then flat out sucking for a few weeks, but at least it's a nice story to push for a few people that like to be set up for heartbreak......

I always go on about the NFC East being a bad ass division, and I'm always hoping that both Wild Card spots would end up here. This could be the year.

I have a very peculiar feeling about New England in the playoffs. It's setting up for a SD-NE rematch in the AFC Divisional Playoff. You know SD would love nothing more than revenge for last year.
I wonder if the Pats running the regular season table and losing in the postseason would be considered one of the biggest chokejobs in history if it occurred.

I really don't see San Diego being much of a force in the playoffs. With or without Marty, I don't see them winning a game once they start to really matter. Defense has too many injuries, Phillip Rivers is a sub-par QB and teams with a competent defense can account for Tomlinson.
The teams to watch out for in the AFC are Indy and Jacksonville.

It hurts me inside when you hate my Patriots so much EMB. You know damn well why. You're a fan of the most beloved super-glory team in the league, and he's (as am I) a fan of the most hated team in the league, the ONLY team that 95% of sports fans hope never win a damn thing ever.

Thank you, Minnesota Vikings and Clinton Portis. Thanks to your horrible defense (Minn) and decent running (Mr. Portis), I will win a fantasy league for the first time ever (barring a super career game from the Broncos' Brandon Marshall tomorrow night).
Holiday cards are in the mail.
