After the 32X debacle, I waited and took time to decide what to get for my next console. Couldn't let that happen again. I ended up getting a Nintendo 64 about two years later, and that more than made up for the 32X. And as for the PSP hate, I think more of the hate has to do with the commercials than the handheld itself. Yeah this is hate for advertising, which if I wanted to I could dovetail into hate for all of Sony's advertising, and wondering how in the blue hell they sold so many PS2s Though to be fair, PS2 advertising was not in any way as drug-trippy as some of the ideas put forth for PSP and PS3 ads You have to admit the Live In Your World Play In Ours was much better. But they need to drop their advertising firm, and fast.

Seems like they realized that they should actually show clips and footage of the actual games if they want people to be interested. Nice that they figured it out only a year after the console debuted.

I mean I think they (Sony) have to approve the ideas, and when the man in charge (or at least one of them) is Kaz Hirai...well...

Then the Saturn came out and broke your heart. As a PSP owner, I can say this, there are MANY reasons to hate the system. Start with price point, then move on to the fact that the games, which are scaled down PS2 quality, cost 40 a pop or more, when I can get 360 games for just a bit mroe than that. Then, there's the wonderous memory cards which, if you just want to use the one they give you, holds maybe five games memory-wise, and you're out of space. Oh, and the battery life of like 2 and a half hours doesn't help.

HEY, nobody better diss the NGPC! That system rocked. ALL of the titles available in the US market for it were fun.
I love mine. Probably my favorite handheld of all time.

also I feel a lot of people haven't had proper experience with a PSP, I friggin love mine, way more than my DS. Portable Ops, GTA, Daxter, Silent Hill, Powered Up, Disgae, etc

I have a PSP, I love the thing! It's kind of like somewhere between a PS1 and PS2, except you can play it while you take a crap!!!

I'd love the PSP if the battery lasted longer. Like how they act like it does in the commercial. Then it would like the ultimate entertainment thing for traveling...
