Neither does anyone else who stresses the word "theory" when talking about the Theory of Evolution. They love that word, though. The Kansas Board of Education even proved they don't know what a scientific theory is when they labelled their Biology textbooks. "The idea that the planets go around the sun? Yeah, that's a 'Theory', too."- One of the best shows on TV. Though, well we're on the subject, I found the episode about Conspiracy Theories to be their worst. Especially dealing with 9/11, they mostly resorted to ad hominem attacks, rather actually discuss the issue.

I liked that episode, though they could have split that up into three separate episodes.

If someone can find me actual, legit, rock-solid proof that ANY conspiracy theory is true, I will give them ten pounds sterling. Because I have yet to hear of a SINGLE conspiracy theory that turned out to be true. Montreal ScrewJob? In what way was that a conspiracy theory? Or do you mean people's suspicion of Shawn's involvement?

It's a plan made between two or more people to commit wrongdoing and keep it secret. Is it really at all hard to believe that such a thing would ever happen?

It would be sad to think that America faked the moon landing. I'm not sure what to believe. I have never read these conspiracies or theories as to why people believe it was fake.

I watched the BBC program about it. They offered some compelling evidence that the most famous and often used photos of the moon landing were faked, but it did not successfully convinced that the moon landing was a fake.
I'm pretty open minded about these things though. I don't think either possibility is all that hard to believe in this case.

Which Moon landing?
Again, there were 6 of them. I swear the more I hear "The Moon Landing" singular, the more irritated I get. If people don't even know what the circumstances of any given subject is, how can they say it's fake?

We're discussing "the" moon landing, the iconic 1960s moon landing.

It's pretty obvious when people say the moon landing they're taking about 1969.

I mean, I believe ABC had 2-hour documentary on debunking the Kennedy Assasination Conspiracy. Surely, Penn & Teller could have had a whole episode on it.

So what, "they" faked the '69 one but really did the rest?
Somehow that's an even dumber "theory".

I'm sure there's all different thoughts on the subject. But whatever, everything happened exactly the way we've always been told, no one who's rich or important has ever done anything deceptive, and you can disprove anything by calling it "dumb".

Yes, but you have to admit: the idea the number of people that it had to of taken to do all of the landings.... to think they ALL could keep a secret is absolutely bonkers.

A lot of people have had to keep all sorts of government secrets. There are a lot of FBI and CIA agents.

A lot of people have had to keep all sorts of government secrets. There are a lot of FBI and CIA agents. Well, yes, but every single scientist, technician, and minor worker on the project? Hard to swallow, epsecially for 40 years, in a time when secrets ran a very pretty penny. How well off do you think someone could of been if they had proof for the Soviets it was a sham? They could be rich, and move to safety easily.
