Scary Movie. Don't laugh.
I thought the idea of a tongue-in-cheek spoofing of horror movies was the greatest idea ever (Was 9/10 at the time though. Still, Shaun of the Dead made it work).

The concept for the first "Speed" film. Having rewatched that recently, I don't think it should be called a "DIE HARD on a bus" picture anymore.

For a crappy movie, I always thought that Clonus: The Parts Horror had an interesting subject, and one that's fairly deep if you think about it: What really constitutes being human? You mean "Parts: The Clonus Horror?" ;D My God, I thought I was the only one that'd seen this, and not just in the MST3K version (which was fantastic on so many levels).

I like post apocalyptal films, so add
Mad Max Waterworld The Postman Quiet Earth The Omega Man
and can anyone remember the bbc series from about 10 years ago when some people trapped on a train survive a nuclear war, and have to survive the aftermath. I so want to find out what it is called and get it on DVD.

The obvious choice would be fight club. The split personality twist at the end was absolutely mind blowing the first time I saw it.
But my personal favorite was Memento. The dude could no longer process new memories for more than a couple of minutes because of a head trauma, and he had to make notes and tattoo reminders on his body. And the movie was shot in backwards order, forcing you to piece everything together. Despite the fact that I found Guy Pearce extremely dry in the starring role, the way it was edited made it highly entertaining.

You mean "Parts: The Clonus Horror?" ;D No you mean THE ISLAND. Funny enough, the filmmakers of CLONUS sued Dreamworks over the fact that DW and Bay stole the concept from them. A rare time when an undisclosed financial settlement actually made me pleased. I thought I heard that the settlement wasn't that big due to the fact that sales of Clonus exploded after the controversy. I still find it funny that Bay made a worse movie, for about 100 million more, than the original. Which is saying a lot.

The problem is, Sony TOLD reviewers not to play the final version until after the 2.01 firmware update came out, because the update fixed the problem with the tilt controls for the dragons(one of the major complaints from reviewers).
