Do you think russo's prejudice to foreign wrestling will affect the world x cup when it comes around?Russo was gone by the time the tournament was first introduced.

The first World X Cup was a series of tournaments. Mexico beat USA to win the first, then beat Canada and Britain to retain. Finally USA, Mexico, Canada, and Japan met in a final tournament that USA won. Mexico were originally the heels, but the crowd really got behind them, especially Hector Garza, and Team Canada with Scott D'Amore really got over and became the main heels. The final tournament was really fun with a Gauntlet, Ladder, and Ultimate X match all in one night.
I cant really remember about the next few, they were rushed and I did not pay much attention.
Russo was in the company during the first World X Cup, but I dont know if he was doing a lot of booking at that point, I think he was just an on air personality.

Really? how many X Div cups have there been? First was the America's X Cup: Mexico beat USA, then Canada, then Britain. The it was consolidated into the World X Cup with Mexico defending against the US, Canada and Japan. US won. They reintroduced it in 2006 and US won again over Mexico, Canada and Japan. Team Britain was planed for the 2006 X Cup with Nigel McGuinness (Captain), Doug Williams, Jonny Storm and Jody Fleisch but it was scrapped and they went with Canada.
