Taker's political pull is the main reason I don't think he'll lose at Mania: at this point, he's got to have enough leverage to say, "I don't want to lose my streak." and they'll let him do what he wants. Furthermore, I think if word got out to the roster, many of the wrestlers themselves would complain of Taker's behalf. Exactly. He's a respected lockerroom leader for a reason. It's not like he has 10 title reigns or is always champion. Sometimes I just don't get people.

Yeah. I legitimately believe that if there was a scenario in which taker would lose at Mania, and they were totally shutting him down on his requests to not lose his streak, Im' fairly certain that if his opponent doesnt go to the bookers and say straight out that he wont go over Taker, a large portion of the crew and roster would have Vince's phone ringing off the hook calling Shenanigans.

And besides, they all had matches before the Battle Royal... Meaning they weren't even fresh!
Of course a veteran (although it maybe a bit much) can dispatch a few guys.

Guys wrestling is fake shut up. So is pretty much everything else on television, but people still get pissed when it is written poorly.

"HEZ BURIALING THEM ALL!" Nobody's typing like that. No, that's a pretty minor example of hypocrisy.

The man's been in the company for the longest streak uninterrupted and has earned his spot and people go off about what creative has for him; going so far as to suggest that he uses his stroke to go and throw five or six people over the top.
God damn people, get a grip. The man has earned his spot. He didn't leave for bigger bucks and less of a workload. He didn't retire because of injuries(sure, he's had time off to heal, but never retiring), he's put over damn near everyone there is to put over('Cept Hogan really, HA!) and people shit on him.
Let's say you work with a company for damn near 17 years. And there's a corner office opening with a fantastic view of the city. Getting this office also includes a bit of a raise in pay. Does the person who's been working with the company for 8 years get the office or do you because of your tenure? Sure, the 8 year guy has done some great outstanding work and has done a lot for the company, but you've done more? Who gets the office and the raise?
The guy who has busted his hump for 17 years, doing whatever is told of him even though it sounds incredibly stupid or the guy who has been around for less than half that time?
The answer to the question, of course is th boss' son-in-law.
Duh.

Meh... it's the same old crap from Undertaker.
I don't care if he hasn't piled up 10 World Titles and several minor Titles, to me he's just as "annoying" as Triple H 2002-04.
I mean: he doesn't even NEED to hog his spot by being involved in storylines 52 weeks a year... Taker just appears out of the blue once in a while, pulls out the same mindgames stuff and wins his matches on PPV while dominating random guys in weekly shows (when he's there). Rewind and play again...
And stll, pretty much everybody's wetting his pants every time this happens, and there's no talking about backstage politicking.
I've read a lot of times here that Taker has put over a lot of people, and it's true to an extent, but since he's reverted to the Deadman gimmick, he hasn't done a thing... Hell, Orton had to bring in his dad to stand a chance, and regardless of the outcome of the feud, Taker has come out on top. And sadly I see Kennedy going down the same trail...
I respect and I've enjoyed Taker's work from his debut, but I think now it's time to stop...

Good thing CM Punk wasn't one of those guys Taker beat down. I think there would be stories of ritual suicides among the Punk fandom

OWNED!!! What I meant was whenever you get the Cena thread, you automaticly get everyone saying, "It's not really him, it's creative. So just hate the character, not the man." But with 'Taker... "HEZ BURIALING THEM ALL!" Hypocrisy at it's finest. Uhm, this thread is exactly like a Cena thread. Some haters, some rational people. DAMN!

The only hypocricy here is that Undertaker doesn't get called out on his politics while Hogan, HHH, Austin, etc, do. It's something that still baffles me to this day. Now I see people bring up tenure as a reason, as if that reason hasn't stopped them from bashing guys who've been in the business as long or longer than Taker (Hogan, Austin, etc).
Wrestling fans have always been hypocritical for wrestlers they like. That in itself is not as bad as those same fans not realizing that they are being hypocritical.
Frankly, I don't really care about politics anymore. The only time it really bothered me was with HHH because he was a HEEL being pushed to kill every single babyface on the roster, which is so bad for business that I can't even put into words how stupid it was. But he's no different than someone in the business world who has stroke in a company. The wrestling business is all about looking out for yourself. Very few stars care about the business after they move on, and they really have no reason to. Taker is out for himself. Hogan is out for himself. Austin, HHH, etc, etc, etc. All the same. Sure you might get a Rock or Foley once in a while who want to help the future of the business, but they also have movies and books to fall back on. The other wrestlers don't.

Finlay, Benoit and Booker are over 40s who never drew a dime, really who cares about them.
Seriously it makes more sense to push Undertaker, the guy who's going to ME Wrestlemania, than protect those bozos.

Here's an idea.....just watch the show and quit worrying about who buries who or who is using politics. You people are never going to enjoy wrestling ever again if you keep worrying about garbage like that!
