How do wrestlers bleed from their mouths?

Remember Mark Henry put Angle threw the table? Well Angle was going to bleed from the mouth & he clearly spit out the whole blood packet without bursting it open so I'm guessing they use the ole blood packets for bleeding from the mouth.

more often than not( when its planned at least) its blood packets. there are times it is real though, due to a stiff shot

Sometimes you'll see guys get busted open out of nowhere - you can usually tell it's legitimate because it bleeds gradually (blood packets are watery to make more of a mess), and comes off of a stiff shot or something similar. Regal seems to bust his mouth open every second week.

But when they do a 'throat crushing' spot with a chair or somesuch, they have a packet full of fake blood in the wrestler's mouth.

Most of the time, but occasionally you'll see someone get the 'Steamboat Treatment' from Flair's book, where they'll legitimately pummel him to make it look more real. The only time I can remember that happening in recent memory was Foley/Funk, though.

Also, when Flair was dragged out by Orton and Edge a while back, bleeding like a stuck pig, I find it hard to beleive that he didn't just swipe a razor across his forehead. Flair and 'fake blood' just doesn't go together for me.

He did at one point. Vader gave him legit internal bleeding during a FMW match in Japan as a receipt for Shamrock stiffing Vader on WWF PPV.

one of my best friends is an indy worker and had a match with Vader where Vader was his tag partner. somewhere in the match Vader turned on toxic (my friend) and vader stiffed him to the extent that it was the only concussion he's ever had.

See, it's stories like that where if I ever faced Vader in a match, I would be absolutely terrified. I would just bump for him and try to protect myself as best I could, never mind trying to make a name for myself by *shudders* fighting back.
