It's obvious that TNA would love to sue WWE for the use of the name Monty Brown (if it is copyrighted)... Now despite that and his theme that doesn't fit the gimmick, I thought that his debut was really good.
I mean, people got into his POOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUCCCEEEEEEEEEEEE! Which is good for a "Shoulder Tackle" and he looks to have most of his gimmick in tact.
I'm looking forward to his progression in ECW and WWE... And a theme song change.

But the gimmick and that music doesn't jive well. He didn't have the intensity he had in TNA either. Sorry to be a Grumpy Gus.

Maybe he was nervious. Or hated his song.

I liked the TNA chants most of all ;D
....But I was never a Brown fan, so that probably shouldn't be a surprise.

If he would just get his real name, new music, his red tights, and get rid of those side burns, I would really like him and could buy him as a big star down the line...

I actually like him in ECW. I'm really surprised they kept the pounce, but honestly, what else would he have used?

Just let him use the name Monty Brown and change that music and I'm really excited about him.

I think they need to fix the music but other than that it's fine, I don't know what the deal's with the name change but whatever.

I couldn't give a shit about his "music" or his frign name, i mean seriously...
80% of the people here, its either his exactly the way they want a character to be, or the character is doomed to fail and sucks after ONE show.
I hope Marquis CorVon goes far.

Monty is the best it's nice seeing wrestlers jump ship like the old days.
Cant wait for the next big jump. I'm watching "ECW" again

I don't watch Tuesday Night Thunder but I am glad to hear Monty had a good debut.
I felt he was underutilized in TNA.

Besides the music, I think his WWE debut came off extremely well (no pun intended). He really should have won everyone over with his facial comeback with the 'What?' chant. And while I was never a fan of Reily's, the dude can sell and made Monty look like a million bucks. Like the pimp slap on the apron, that was neat.

Like i predicted he did the Uppercut version of the pounce rather than the flying shoulder tackle.
He looked good in there.
The Alpha Male nickname will stick out, and the name Marquis does stick.
Why that song though ahwell it stands out and I bet The Alpha Male will get over reguardless

I liked that little eye thing he did in response to the, "What?" chants.

Suprised? Yes. Happy?? No. He should've kept his name and should've had better entrance music.

I can only go by the ECW website videos, so I didn't quite catch the theme song but I was caught by surprise by the new name, not a big deal, I love Monty, but strange name choice, especially since when he was signed they were talking about having signed MONTY BROWN.
The new name is a grower for sure, so happy to see him again though.

I hope Marquis CorVon goes far. Co-sign, co-sign, muthaf***ing CO-SIGN! What I would have totally loved is if his opponent was CM Punk. I woulda sat back and watched the IWC's collective head explode into nothingness..man, that would rule.
