I like Matt Striker, he wears good clothes and is a positive role model for today's youth. I hope he does well in the Rumble.

Who was that old wrestler in the WWF that wore a graduation cap and he was kind of the teacher type? or thought he was a genious? anyone remember him? does he remind you of Matt Stryker? I really like his gimmick i mean hes not a great wrestler.. but its entertaining in a cheesy way.. its cool that hes in ECW too because hes like the Hardcore Teacher now.. lol.. maybe its just me? Lanny Poffo was leaps (pun intened) and bounds above Matt Stryker physically and could really work a crowd. He's basic mid card that insults the audience in the same vein but I don't get the equal read. THOUGH interrupting that Kelly crap brought him up a few pegs in my book. But he lost to the booby flash. I'm taking my pegs back.

With the exception of his Steve Irwin comment, I found most of his stuff humorous-I haven't watched him lately, but I think he's a better heel than edge, edge just comes off as a prick, so does Stryker, but in a funny way

Let him go back to his gimmick of immitating other wrestlers (which he did way better than Eugene) and stop this awful Dean Douglas mk 2 gimmick.

the problem with striker is his tights are to small billy and his wang gets in the way of a good match. That's true. Yesterday I told my friend that he has Ahmed Johnson Syndrome. The guy needs new tights right away. I think Striker is a good wrestler, and while I don't like his gimmick, he's good at being a smart ass heel. I think if they dropped the whole teacher thing, and just had him be a jerk, he could get over more. The match he had yesterday was great.

Why does he wear such small trunks?
He and Dupree could form a tag team and really make Tuesday night extreme

I'll probably be crucified for this but, he could easily be the next Stevie Richards. He has both the in ring and mic talent. I'd love to see him, Richards and Meanie team up as a new bWo.

(Some of the following quote's may be slightly wrong, but their close enough)
Duggan: USA! USA! Crowd: USA! USA! Striker: Why on earth are you all chanting that? I AM AMERICAN YOU IDIOTS!
Striker: It is because you have all been 'smoking the pot'.
(Walking away from a Tag Match) Striker: I'm sorry Rob. Their crazy. I'm smart. Too smart to fight them. I'm sorry. =(
Striker can actually be quite funny on the mic and I think his in-ring skill's, though far from the best, is still definatly good enough.
I'm still suprised he hasn't been teamed with Test yet.

Matt Stryker is a different wrestler than Matt Striker. Striker is the WWE wrestler, Stryker is an indy guy. That's not really important, though. Anyway, Striker's gimmick is cheesy and not really over. At first I thought it could be good, but I was wrong. One-dimensional, cartoonish, evil-for-the-sake-of-being-evil, characters shouldn't exist in a modern wrestling promotion. I disagree with the evil for sake of being evil character comment. I for one would love to see some one get the gimmick of a truely evil guy. Some one who is just EVIL.Beats up faces, beats up heels, does what he want and is just evil. The type of guy who destroys women and plays the sickest mind games possible. I think Snitsky could have ruled with this gimmick! Which he kinda had until the foot fetish thing....

I like Matt Striker. The pwinsider writers don't like him because they don't think he is a good wrestler, and they think his character is overly-heelish to the point that it is corny. I disagree. I do find his matches entertaining, and I love his character. Like when he was ripping on Kelly Kelly, I thought it was awesome.

"It's an evolutionary trait, that allows you to be closer to the sink." Even if some of his lines, are cliche`d, he's got good timing on his delivery, and that's why I don't think he needs the teacher gimmick. And I don't see the need for him to be evil or angry either. Just be a jerk. You don't need to be overtly evil. What are some of the complaints about his wrestling ability? He's not Chris Benoit, but I've certainly never seen anything bad from him. At least he knows the basics. I can't say the same for the majority of the roster.

He's a pretty well spoken, charismatic guy. He is a good showman, and has decent techinical ability. His ring work is very "old school", though I think that is partially by design. The guy seems to be a big mark for 80s WWF wrestling.

I think that's a pretty decent idea, actually. Makes sense; he's got a lot of in-ring ability, great mic skills, gets plenty of heel heat...

Are we talking uni brow stryker or WWE teacher Striker? The convo has been about teacher Striker. Just a mis-spelling. I agree that he's very much an 80's WWF throwback in his wrestling style. If I had to compare him to any wrestler from the 80's/early 90's, he reminds me of Raymond Rougeau. Who, like Striker, I don't believe needed his cheesey Mountie gimmick. Not that he wasn't good at it. Just that he didn't need it. I think the gimmick will hurt more than it will help.
