I was an 11 year old mark back in 1988 and was all about the Mega Powers, hell my cousin and I dressed as them for Halloween that year. I was Hogan and he was Macho Man.

When I saw the poll results and read some of the comments, it was clear that 1) I'm getting old, and 2) the chances that half the people voting here were actually wrestling fans in 1988 are slim and none. The Mega Powers was a more successful angle, it was more popular, drew more money, and had a fantastic pay-off (WrestleMania V). What makes me sad is that this is reality now. With the WWE ignoring Randy Savage's history in the company, and the fans getting younger and younger, polls like this will be commonplace nowadays. Man, I miss the '80's. If you need me, I'll be sobbing in the corner for a few minutes. I echo this guy's comment. And this next comment just cements his point. Macho's not even put into his equation. This is a tough decision, but HHH > Hogan to me, so Two-Man Power Trip wins. The angle was played perfectly and ended at the right time, before it got too old. That's faulty math beacause Macho > HHH and Austin combined Or.....I'm just old

I dont know if I agree that Macho > HHH + Austin, but, the fact that Randy Savage is so easily forgotten to old school fans, and not even mentioned to newer ones is nothing short of criminal.

The MegaPowers were great. Hogan and Macho had chemistry, I'll give them that.
The Power Trip just never made sense. Two men who had hated each others guts mere months earlier now teaming up because Austin was now buddies with Vince? Just felt real cheap to me.

Absolutely. It's only going to get worse. The WWE owns all of his footage. If they don't portray him as the legend that he is, then no one other than the people who saw his prime will remember him going forward. That's a travesty.

I was born in 1983, yet I saw Randy Savage toward the end of his WWF tenure and loved the guy. Even got his autograph at one of the old USWA shows in Arkansas. He will always be one of my favorites. Hulk Hogan I hated with a passion, even as a kid, because the guy never did anything special.
Triple H I'm back and forth on. I like his intensity and passion for wrestling, but he fails to keep his gimmick fresh (sledgehammer, anyone?). Austin was just kickass in general, even as a heel in the Alliance (even though nobody booed him).
And while I never saw the MegaPowers during their heyday, I've seen a few promos and such. Even with my lack of knowledge of their run, I'd have to say they were better than the Power Trip. Seriously, that thing lasted all of 2 months, and only consisted of them beating the Hardy Boyz senseless and tagging against the Brothers of Destruction. Not exactly classic feuds. They had potential with Benoit/Jericho, but potential does not make a great team. Hogan and Savage teaming lead to the Wrestlemania main event, so I'll have to give the nod to them. Like i said, I don't care for Hogan, but even I would have been excited to see their rivalry build to Mania.

I remember both and I thought "Meh" to both. But I like HHH and SCSA better than Hogan and Macho so I voted for the 2 man power trip.

Despite my feelings now, as a kid I LOVED the Mega-Powers. Watching some stuff from Mania 5 and back is still really fun to take a break from the stuff today.
I don't see how you can compare them to a 2 month angle that didn't even get a true conclusion.

Are you kidding me? The Megapowers angle was one of the most well built, successful angles WWE has ever had. No one really remembers the cup of coffee Trips and Austin had together, especially during a time when everyone was teaming up. I'm honestly shocked that this poll is so close. I think it speaks volumes about the age of the average wrestling fan though. Hey, I voted for the 2MPT! I remember quite well how well the MegaPowers was handled. I also have to say that I was more entertained by Austin and HHH.

Um, Austin/Triple H vs Jericho/Benoit is probably one of the top 5 matches ever on Raw.
So gotta go with Austin/Triple H
