OK, I have pondered over the voting options for a while now. after much careful thought and expert analisis I am gonna vote for Kevin Thorn. Kevin Thorn is basically the future of ECW. CM Punk is another prospect that will put ECW on the map, but the advantage Thorn has is that he has a good gimmick and a popular manager. Thorn could beat the rock and then the next night go on ECW tv and say "I have beat the rock, there is nothing I cannot accomplish." Aerial can agree with him. Then CM Punks music will hit and punk will challenge thorn to a match at the next ppv.
thorn and punk can be huge, they just need the rub from a seasoned vet. And the rock will work.

HOW DARE THE ROCK NOT LOOK FOR HIS BEST INTERESTS INSTEAD OF PUTTING HIS BODY ON THE LINE AND BEING IN HORRIBLE STORYLINES!??!?!?!? DAMN HIM TO HELL!!!! Best interests? Bullcrap. Making subpar movies that mostly WRESTLING FANS supported might have been better for his pocket, but shows he doesn't give a flying wax about wrestling. He used it as nothing more then a stepping stone, and has abandoned the industry that MADE HIM. No one would know/give a wax about some complain and/or rude female named Duane Johnson or whatever the wax his name is if it wasn't for his wrestling. NO ONE. So he owes us to stay in wrestling? Thanks for clearing up and informing me of what his obligations should be.

Duane Johnson doesn't owe the industry anything - WWE gave him the opportunity, and he ran with it to the best of his ability. Perhaps when Vince McMahon will start showing some legitimate class and create legitimate entertaining television, the Rock will consider returning.
Hell, if YOU were the Rock, why the hell would you want to associate with any company that hosted an atrocity like the most recent episode of Raw?

Maybe as a thank you to the fans that made him and that he claims to love but, want nothing to do with. But then again that takes class and respect and apparently you have to give that up to work in Hollywood.

If the Rock did not go into wrestling, he would have been some scrub playing in the Canadian Football League still, that no one would give a crap about. The WWF/E made him who he is, because of them he is somebody and he was able to branch out into new ventures like he has.
Im not saying he had to come back full time or anything like that, but he DOES owe a whole lot to the company and the fans that made him. He hasn't shown up in like 2 years now. Yet they still usually promote the hell out of whatever he's doing at the time. Is it to much to ask for him to show up every once in a while to give someone a rub just by interacting with them on tv or maybe even working a short match or 2 at a big PPV?
As for not wanting to be associated with WWE or whatever, its too late for that. As long as he is "The Rock" he will be associated with WWE and WWE will be associated with him, whether he's on tv or not.
WWE could have very easily just cut their losses and shipped him out after he bombed as Rocky Miavia with the blue chipper babyface gimmick but they didnt and they gave him another chance and he got over. He should be thankful cause he could have just been like Matt Morgan or any number of other wrestlers that they've given up on after a failed gimmick.

Having the Rock job to someone at mania is played out and boring, he doesn't need to be another Foley that puts people over constantly to the delight of no one.
If he had a Mania match, he should WIN.

But then again that takes class and respect and apparently you have to give that up to work in Hollywood. Umm........ in case you forgot......as a thank you to the fans he came back and put Eugene over and made people care about the original diva search for a week. Just like Jeff Jarrett WWE forgot about him and LET his contract expire. Is Kurt Angle a "sell out" too? As we all know he started out an amateur wrestler who got famous by winning a gold medal and now isnt an amateur wrestling coach or an olympic wrestling coach somewhere because he sure wasnt in the public eye in '97-98. Do you guys put him in the same category as The Rock?? I bet you wont admit to it if you do. Hell I'm sure 99.9% of this board has watch Beyond The Mat. Vince even say it himself in the movie about the WWE and I quote "we make movies." Dont believe me watch for yourself. The Rock is making movies too except he gets paid alot more and doesnt have to travel as much and gets to work with better actors. Or am I wrong and you'd rather work with say...... chris masters rather than christopher walken? or Kelly Kelly rather than Kelly Hu? Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Yes. There is far too much Rock hate on this forum. I don't see guys like Jericho and Angle getting the same treatment, yet both would be nowhere near as well known as they are now without WWE.
People seem to be claiming that the Rock is obligated to return to WWE. As much as I would love to have him back, I'm not going to tell him what to do with his own life.
He has provided us fans with so much great entertainment, and he has made the WWE a whole bunch of money. He has achieved everything it is possible for a wrestler to achieve. Does he not deserve the reward of a much easier life as a movie star?
Still, his movies suck (looking forward to Southland Tales though) and I would absolutely love for him to return.
I voted for Snitsky by the way.
