1.fire Vince Russo and instead put somebody in charge who wants the emphasis to be on the wrestling instead of storylines. TNA is supposed to be an alternative to what WWE's "sports entertainment" but they have gotten closer and closer to achieving that label (minus the entertaining part)
2."you were in WWE? So f'n what?" Right now a lot of former talents from WWE (and WCW/ECW as well) are dominating the promotion, killing what TNA did very well in the past which was building up young talents who the general public might not know. I have no problem with some known talent being there but it's at the point of overkill right now (Tomko, I'm looking at you). TNA should be looking for the best wrestlers PERIOD, not the biggest names
3. get as far away from TNN.......uhhh I mean Spike TV..........as possible. First they ruined ECW back in the day and since they have come to Spike TV, TNA has gone downhill. They were allegedly responsible for Sting and are always pushing for TNA to become more like WWE. While national TV is very important, in my opinion Spike TV is looking for waaaaaay too much imput in a product they know nothing about. Once TNA's contract is up, they should look into other options.
4.Let the X-Division be the X-Division. Going back to last year, even before Russo got there, the X-Division was in decay. For a long time Joe-AJ-Daniels were the only people who were legitimate contenders in the X-Division. And we all ate it up since they were putting on such good matches. Unfortunately we didn't realize until too late what was happening and when the X-Division Holy Trinity moved on with Joe taking on a more main eventer role and AJ-Daniels becoming a tag team all that was left were the people who have spent the past months jobbing in quick Impact matches. There weren't any legitimate contenders (other than Lo Ki who held the belt soon after returning) since they all felt like jobbers since that's all they'd done for months on end. After this TNA tried a bunch of things from the Jackass debacle to the PCS to get the X-Division back on its feet when in all my opinion they need to do is just let these guys do what they do best: wrestle great matches without needing something else attached to try to make people care. To quote Field of Dreams, "If you build it, they will come."
5.Give it time. Impact is basically a clusterf*** with a lot going on in a little amount of time, leading to a lot of matches and storylines feeling rushed. I know an hour isn't much to work with but they have the website available to them so add a second, internet show (not like the lame Global Impact was with mostly recaps/promos and one short unimpressive match) to get across things that you don't have time for on TV. This will free up more TV time for longer matches and storylines not getting rushed. And if they're worried about people not following it just cuz it's online, add a brief recap segment on Impact for the internet show (3 minutes tops) to let people see what they missed the past week and entice them to check it out.
special bonus #6. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE!!!!!!!!!! The general wrestling fan does not know much about TNA. Instead the internet smark community was the backbone of TNA's fanbase for awhile, especially between TV deals when TNA was internet only. Unfortunately TNA has turned heel on us and is always looking to cater to a general audience that just plain isn't there. And this is alienating the people who have supported the company for many years.
I stopped watching TNA soon after Bound for Glory since it was just so frustrating. I know the potential this company and these wrestlers have and it just makes me sick to see it so wasted. I read spoilers/results still and just shake my head at what is happening.
