Alright, what are some of your favorite tapes to go back and watch? My favorite is certainly a tape I've got with WW3 and Starrcade 97 both on it. I was a youngster during those days and that time really got me into wrestling. When I'm just sittin around in my dorm or whatever, I occasionally just pop that tape in there and watch some old stuff. Anyways, what are some that you guys like to watch?

An old tape from 1991 right before WM 7. Its just old school Wrestling Challange, Superstars/Maple Leaf Wrestling. Sure its basically all jobber matches, but it is my earliest memory of watching wrestling. Although as the story goes i would lay with my brother and watch it when i was only 6 months old. Here I am 17 and a half years later still watching, still hooked.

One of my NWA tapes from 86 with "Hands Of Stone" Ronnie Garvin as champ. Good stuff. Includes a Paul Jones promo hyping the Warlord followed by a complete squash of a jobber by Warlord. I love it.

Hmmmmm, not many. Most of my wrestling tapes are showing signs of overuse. I have lost many over the years, due to giving them out, taping over them, etc.....I'm working on getting a few back, since I just bought a few from OWW. Hopefully, they'll arive soon.

Any Coliseum Home Video. I love watching the previews for upcoming releases and the action figures. ("Before we get to all the action of [insert event here], let's take a look at a few little superstars!")
Also, stuff from the early & mid-90s that I taped off TV, like Clash of the Champions, WCW All-Nighter, and the "Spectacular" specials the WWF used to show before PPVs. Actually, I like watching the old commercials almost as much as the events themselves!

Sting: Unmasked
Me and my buddy went to go buy it when we were in 8th grade, and we only saw one copy. We literally beat the shit out of eachother in the middle of a Best Buy, until we spotted a second copy. We then proceeded to go to our homes, and watch the videos simulatenously while talking on the phone. Like, it was so serious that we started the videos at the exact same time.

Which tape is that? Like, what year and everything? Because I'm trying to think if I'm thinking of the same thing you are.

Let's see,my favorites are:
WM 1-4,an old tape that has the first three Clash of Champions on it,and few tapes which are really just compilations of random Memphis/Mid-South matches.

Lets see.....8th grade was.....I'll say...98? And it was a WCW video like the DDP one you know? And Sting is like "Hi I'm Steve Borden I'm from Omaha Nebraska and I wrestle under the name Sting....(long pause).....or the Stinger"

It's when he first joined the Wolfpack. And the end of the video has random Nitro Girls dancing to a real shitty beat that includes like a doing doing sound.

That series of videos WCW did was so cheesy, but the matches on them were alright, so I can put up with the ultra-kayfabeness.

Summerslam 1988. I've played it so much that it's starting to get worse in quality, but damn, that was a killer show. One of the hottest crowds I've seen for an event, and just an excellent show from top to bottom.
I also love the old SNME tapes, specifically The Main Event. I have all The Main Event shows on tape, and each one was fantastic (probably because they aired live). Hogan vs. Andre, Savage vs. Honky, Mega Powers vs. Twin Towers, Hogan vs. Savage with Buster Douglas as the ref......good times.
Honestly, I have every WWF PPV from 1987-1992, and I enjoy watching (and re-watching) all of them. There's a reason I don't collect anything before or after that date. By far my favorite time as a fan.

That's pretty awesome, actually. I wish I could find some of those old tapes somewhere. I was actually thinking of uploading the Hogan/Savage/Buster Douglas thing on YouTube since no one has done it yet (to my knowledge), but I have no clue how to upload stuff or what programs I'd need. Though that show is a bit disturbing as during the Warrior/Bravo match, Warrior goes under the ring and drags Jimmy Hart in there. A couple of minutes later Jimmy comes out from under the ring with no pants on. Foreshadowing Warrior's thoughts on queering, I guess. I have a decent number of SNME shows. If I ever learn how to copy them on tape or DVD (I'm technology illiterate), I'd be happy to send them out. There are tape traders out there, but I'm sure they'll charge an arm and a leg for the rarer footage.

I have an old tape of Royal Rumble 1992. Awesome rumble, a good Orient Express/ New Foundation match, Roddy Piper winning the IC title. and the always awesome 5 minute intermission.
