That has really changed my perspective on TNA. Therefore, I'm not watching iMPACT! (daily) until either the creative team is morphed, or they sign Robbie V! It'd be funnier if they call him, "Rob VD", lol! Hell, Robbie Weed would make me laugh as well. As dumb as they might be.

only problem i have with his opinion is if they had more than one hour, you would have more time for matches. Now...should there be less segments and some good finishes....absolutely. I am though getting tired of TNA myself and after seeing that crap with Ron Killings, I just stopped watching.

Then, I usually wait for a sale, since ROH has one every other week. It's easy to get not watching wrestling when you step back and realize how much the wrestling on national television sucks right now. (Except SmackDown, but I don't have DVR and I'm not watching wrestling on a Friday night.)

I can't see Lance Storm being on the good side of the YouTube shooters because of this

No they were turning a profit. They haven't been able to dig themselves out of their debt, but they have turned a profit the past two years I thought. Yeah, I thought they were running in the black..just not enough to get them out of previous debt yet.

If it's your hobby, then you don't feel so bad doing that. The reason I barely watch free TV wrestling anymore is really that while it's on, there's usually better programming on other stations. Hell, even if there isn't, I could be playing Wii, or reading a book. If the wrestling on TV can't get me roused to either stop playing Zelda, or put down my Lovecraft collection, or to stop surfing the archives at qwantz.com, then I see no reason to go out of my way to watch it. Unforunately, that's been every wrestling show on TV over the last month or so. Though I do hope TNA makes that "mega heel" stable, and Daniels' push is legitimate; that could get me interested again.

I'm sure he's a talented guy, but he's really stuck in a terrible gimmick right now. So I've heard. I remember seeing him during his very brief (two shows) ROH stint at Escape From New York, where he fought Mike Kruel, who was then the Embassy's muscle man. The match was cut from the DVD when it became clear that neither man was sticking with ROH after it, but it was a really, really good bout, and got me very excited about both Striker and Kruel. Sadly, WWE really isn't doing what they should be doing with Striker: taking advantage of his charisma and talent for impersonations (not counting that whole Ultimate Warrior impression he did way back when).

I don't know, it isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it isn't really terrible IMO. Plus, I remember Lance mentioning disliking Striker in another one of his commentaries, I forget what he said though. I should go look it up.

I don't watch ECW (Because I don't get Sci-Fi and I can't remember when it's on in Canada (or I'm doing something else)) and I just don't see Striker getting over with that gimmick. The impersonations thing? They tried it with Big Show long long time ago. An informal poll of 2 people say it was awesome. And same informal poll says that Striker really has a talent for those and should be doing exactly that. Imagine Striker impersonating Steven Richards impersonating someone else.

Storm's issue with Striker is, simply, that Striker only got a job because of the publicity he got from the teacher/Japan tour bit. Basically, he resents the fact that Striker was not hired on his own merits, rather because he did something somewhat unethical.
To be honest? If I spent years not earning much and got to the big time by being damn good, I think I'd be a little upset that someone got to the same position by screwing up at his real job.

I see no value in Striker as a performer: his wrestling is bland, his mic skills aren't impressive, and his gimmick is horrible. Seriously, an evil teacher? And why would a former Social Studies teacher act like an English teacher? It makes no sense.
