Upon seeing it..... I didn't like it, but I couldnt explain why...
Now I think I can..
Watching WSX for the first time, I of course noticed the cheezy set, the fans looking totally out of place, and an announce team that made guys like Mark Madden look like Gorilla Monsoon..
But I ya know... I didnt feel like I was watching wrestling...
I felt like I was watching a show or movie match...
Ex: the match between Hogan and Zeus in Over The Top...
a scripted match... but not a match you'd actually see on tv..

I still havent seen it, but I know what you're talking about, regular tv shows make wrestling matches look really lame

I think you meant No Holds Barred. Over The Top was Stallone's crappy arm wrestling movie. To be blunt with you, LightningJoey, you are the first person I've seen post a reason why they hate WSX. Almost everyone else just says it sucks because of the explosions or the fact that it's only a half hour. You actually have a few valid points. Now, I'm still a fan of WSX, but I'm not going to argue whether or not it's a good show. WSX seems to be, quite possibly, the most polarizing thing in the history of wrestling. It seems you either love it or hate it. There is no middle ground.

No Holds Barred.... you're right.. Over The Top is Stallone.. damn, how did I confuse that??
I do agree WSX is pretty polarizing... it was polarizing enough to get me to sit through it and formulate an opinion at least...
The show's heart might be in the right place .... harcore, extreme, high-impact, in your face, wrestling... but the production gives it such an inauthentic feel (kind of like my movie reference from No Holds Barred). I think ECW worked b/c it was "real".... not so produced.
But WSX can only help create competition, and we all know that's a good thing!

I was saying that there's a problem with them treating it like a normal TV show, this is a side-effect of it.
