Storm's definitely right. But this is TNA's fault for giving the book to Vince Russo. They know his track record and they decided to ignore it. Between the poor storylines, the wasting of talent, the dumb backstage segments, and changing the NWA World title around every ten seconds, Impact has really suffered.

TNA is doomed if Vince Russo has the book.

LANCE IS TOTALLY WRONG!!!! iMPACT had 14 minutes of wrestling, not 10. (Yeah, I kept track, look at my sig) Other than that Lance is spot on. Why isn't he booking TNA? Cuz if I were Dixie Carter I'd fire Russo this second and offer Lance whatever amount of money he wants to book TNA. Yeah when reading impact reports I was wondering whatever happened to the TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION MY ASS Stopwatch? And that was before the silliness of the second Russo Era

Wow, somebody who was thinking a lot of the same things I was when I watched last night's iMPACT, and hell it's Lance Storm. He's absolutely right about pretty much every major thing he says here. QFT I've been feeling the same way.

The one thing I disagree with him on was the Sabin thing. So he showed up in a bathrobe and a walker. And that's childish. Oddly, though, you don't hear that kind of attack about the Hollywood Blondes' "Flair For The Old" segment. So ... it is the MATERIAL? Or is someone just so blinded with hate for the material's WRITER? I'm not sitting here in total defense of Russo, but to have two identical segments ... one is critically praised, one is lambasted ... that's either hypocrisy, or bias. Jed Shaffer ~And didn't Russo give you your WCW push, Lance? Just checking. Did you watch Flair for the Old? It was awesome for 2 dickish Faces to do to the horsemen. Chris Sabin is definitely no Steve Austin and isn't in Brian Pillman's jock

why isn't Lance writing impact? Easier to complain about something than try to write it. If he was writing, people would start complain and/or rude femaleing about it in 3 weeks, guarantee. He does have points, though, although a lot of stuff seems to be over-exacerated. To be fair, if anyone wrote Impact, someone wouldn't like it, can't be helped. I'm not a big fan of his, but he hit the nail on the head for most of those points, the Sabin interview wasn't nowhere funny or entertaining, the rest of the show was one big blur, so I just decided against having a headache and not watch the rest of the show. EDIT: I also found it funny that no one has posted in the Against All Odds thread for 2 days, lol. Shows how much interest people here have about the PPV coming up.

I haven't yet watch this week's episode, but none of these things surprise me. I assume that Jarrett is too distracted by his wife to screen Russo's work. Russo isn't worthless, but he needs to have someone veto his bad ideas, because he never thinks any of them are bad.
He's most definitely wrong on that.
My hope would be that Cornette gets asked to book the actually matches, Russo work on character development, and Mantell work between them to smooth out any inconsistancies. Either that, or just ditch Russo and have Mantell do the character development and Corny do the matches.

You know, I have been asked many times why people want the attitude era back. To answer that, its a simple answer.
This was a time of can't-miss programming. It was a time where two companies really tried to give us the best television possible. That would be the reason why they want that era back. Now, you can miss a few shows (or in my case, not watch WWE since September) and not miss much. We want that time of great programming and we dont have that anymore which makes us want it more.

Does anyone know why they haven't tried to let Raven book? It'd be really awesome if they could get Raven, Storm, Tommy Dreamer, and Heyman to book....like in ECW.

I dont watch TNA as a rule. I came home last night and my girl had it on, and I got home just in time to see AJ vs Joe. I decide to watch it, to see what all the fuss about those two is about, and.....its a 3 minute boring match that ends in a no contest. I won't be watching next week. Way to snare a new viewer, TNA! That was so upsetting for me Thursday. As someone who 13 months ago sat at my first live wrestling show in almost 7 years and watched the two of those guys put on the best live wrestling match I had ever seen at Turning Point in 2005, to then see them not even get a chance to show how well they work together was appalling.
