I may be on a tangent here, but if we look at wrestling as a whole there is a disturbing trend that now seems to be the norm. If you now touch anything over 6ft their is a very good chance that you arnt even expected to know how to wrestle.
Now we all know Hoss'es have existed, from day one. But now, if you touch anything appearing tall you lose all sense of talent. John Cena is no taller than Ted dibiase, Batista is no bigger than Vader?
Is their a growing divide between Hoss'es and Vanilla midgets?

I really think it quite simply boils down to the lack of competition WWE has, or else, Great Khali wouldn't have lasted any longer than Giant Gonzales.
Honestly there have been quite a few good-to-GREAT wrestlers over the past 10 years well over 6 feet (Goldust, Scott Hall, and Mike Awesome among them) that shatter the 'hoss' classification. But now Vince knows he can trot any big, green turd he wants out and we cant do anything but...turn it off. There's no WCW. ECW is dead, the REAL ECW is dead.

It's not that being very tall means you suck; it's that most of the guys in WWE that are very tall aren't that good. Sure, Kane and Undertaker are still good wokers, and Mike Knox is pretty good. But, Test, Bobby Lashley, John Cena, and Batista are decent at best; and Khali is a horrible worker. And, WWE has been known to give us bad wrestlers who are very tall, like Giant Gonzales.

Well, there are quite a few today that are very good and are over six feet (or at least just six feet and upward) such as Punk, Joe, Whitmer, Pearce, Claudio, Hero... I'll just start listing them
Brent Albright Colt Cabana Nigel McGuinness
Oh no wait, I'm out now.
And granted, some of those people tend hover around the six feet limit, and some of them probably don't wrestle the style you're looking for, but....
..HEY LOOK OVER THERE *runs*
Oh, and I forgot Eddie Kingston. So there you have it...

Sure, Kane and Undertaker are still good wokers, and Mike Knox is pretty good. Knox is good? Did this happen after I gave up watching ECW? Knox has always been good, but people can't put aside the fact that he resembles Snitsky and that his first few debut matches weren't stellar. I wish I could find one of the Mike Knox/Derik Neikirk matches from DSW, which were amazing. Knox is the only guy his size I've ever seen pull off a standing moonsault.
