I had been here previously.
I can't say I blame people for their first impression. The video was taken out of context to make it funny and get some publicity for a video that was produced. I was a fan and paid admission, thus I had no rights to it. With the airing of the video all over the net, folks questioned my intelligence, my sexual orientation and so much more. Most of this occured at other sites.
Some folks who enjoyed the clip who were here and had a good time with it. I can see how it can be hilarious out of context. To be honest, if someone says something unkind about me, I really don't let it bug me at all. I am way too busy working my regular job in Atlanta and Chattanooga to worry about stuff.
I posted and manned up to what happened. What happened happened. It is what it is. I am very happy that I have met some great folks here at Wrestlecrap because of it. My wife and I talked about this the other day. Sometimes I would take my self a little too seriously and not laugh at myself like I should. Now, BELIEVE ME, I don't have that problem.
By being an "internet celeb" ( I still don't like that term much), I did get to some podcasts and radio interviews. The amazing thing is by being able to do that I was interviewed and my mom heard them. Instead of being embarrased of me and making fun, she and I grew closer. She has an illness with degenerative discs which only God can heal and it helped our relationship tremendously. Thankfully, in the last few weeks, she has had a miraculous improvement. Even though she will be on pain meds the rest of her life, her new medication has brought her a quality of life that she hasn't seen in maybe 3-5 years.
Just goes to show you, there is a reason things happen. Yeah, it was weird when my brother was listening to Satellite radio and hear Jim Cornette and Bobby Heenan being interviewed and he called me and said, "Hey, I heard Jim Cornette talking about you on XM Radio today."
That was so surreal.
But hey, you can't know where something is going or where it winds up.
I am thankful for everyone I have met here on WC. If you supported me, Thanks. We all need some support at times. If you dissed me or laughed at me, I am glad I could bring some laughter to your life. This world needs more laughter. If you said bad things about me, that's fine. I don't harbor any ill will toward anyone. Seeing personal improvements in my life and medical improvements in my Mom's that is what really matters. You know it's so hard to get bogged down in life when you are trying your best to live it to the fullest.
I wish each of you the best for the rest of the year and great happiness.
Oh and more Stamp, Luger and EL dandy and Zombie 4-ever!!!
