I just joined for the first time(Widow'sPeak37). Considering how badly I do at this game, you veterans have nothing to worry about.

With the Rumble being included in the first week I went back and checked out the scoring for the event. Here is what was stated for last year if it helps:
Question: How will the actual Royal Rumble Match be scored? -Cory R. of “JDtheSuperstudâ€
Answer: Here's how Fantasy scoring will work for the Royal Rumble Match: • Each participant in the Royal Rumble Match will receive one set of appearance points (+5), one set of match points (+8), and one set of specialty match points (+3). • Each time a Superstar eliminates an opponent, that Superstar will receive one set of elimination points (+2). • If two or more Superstars contribute to an elimination, all Superstars directly involved will receive the full (+2) points. • If the Royal Rumble Match is the last match of the pay-per-view, then EVERY Superstar who participates in the Rumble Match will receive "final match" points. • If a Superstar is named as a Royal Rumble participant but never appears or never enters the match, he will not receive points. • "Finishing move escape" and "finishing move victory" points can only be scored once the Royal Rumble Match is down to the final two competitors. • Regular finisher points (+1) can be scored in the Royal Rumble Match. • Foreign object points can be awarded in the Royal Rumble Match. • The Fantasy Board will score unusual occurrences on a case-by-case basis.
Hmm do we stock up on "fillers" or take some chances on the favourites?

Fillers? Come on! Anything can happen in the WWE! Jimmy Wang Yang is going to Wrestlemania, dang it!
...
Fillers. Yeah. But fillers with a chance of getting an elimination would be nice. I am wondering if Mark Henry will be a surprise entrant. Makes me wonder...

The thing about the Rumble that is hard to predict is who will last longest.
Often, it's the unlikely of men. One year it might be Shawn Michaels, the next year Matt Hardy.

I doubt he can come back from a knee injury 2 months early, but that's just my theory

Man...I just know the winner is going to cost 5 mil and my cheap "Buy a lot of guys" strategy is going to hurt me! After last seasons debacle the tactic is Buy a lot of GIRLS! At least 1 Diva will be in the list every week this time! 5 Mil, hmm I'd say go HHH he will make it back in time and win the Whole event on crutchs, it'll be more imporessive than his last rumble appearance after surgery

is ecw involved in the rumble? I'm not sure how many are going to be in it, but there was an article on ECW.com mentioning that, yes, ECW will be represented in the Royal Rumble. From WWE.com, I wonder if they'll have a tournament, or just throw guys in willy-nilly.

Is that a for-sure? Or an educated guess? It will be strange seeing Punk in such a main event environment like the Rumble.
