How much did No Holds Barred take at the box office? $15,000,000 in ticket sales according to Wiki. I can't find an overall yet. imdb.com has it at $16,093,651. I do not know if it is ticket sales and renter together.

I think the real question here is: Can "The Cumdemmed" beat "No Holes Barred" in the DVD sales box office?

Critics are already saying The Condemed is the finest movie produced by WWE films so far, so even if The Condemed doesn't beat No Holds Barred in ticket sales, it will beat it in terms of quality. So it'll be like slaming your penis in an encyclopedia rather than slaming it in a car door?

BTW, was there actually a debate somewhere about whether The Condemned would beat No Holds Barred at the box office?

So I'm the only person who actually enjoyed No Holds Barred when it came out? Or am I the only one willing to admit it? I'm basing my opinion on the film on what I thought of it in 1989, not 2007, so that might be why.
Then again, I was a big Kickboxer (with Van Damme) fan as well, and they had somewhat similar plots, though Kickboxer was obviously 100 times better acted.

Hogan: WHATS THAT SMELL?!
Austin: DOOKIE, SON! DOOKIE!
Yeah. I enjoyed NHB when I first saw it, on rental as soon as it came to VHS back then.

I knew I wasn't alone!
I tend to base things historically on how I felt at the time. I do that a lot with movies, TV shows, etc. Obviously my tastes are going to change over time, so there's really no point in judging a 1989 film in my 2007 mindset, or a 1987 wrestling character in my 2007 mindset. Everything will look worse over time. Not that NHB was a classic or anything, but if I enjoyed it in 1989, then that's really all that matters (to me anyway).
With that said, no WWF/E film is going to do great in the box office. It might make a profit (like See No Evil supposedly did), but it's not going to create a huge boom at the box office. Especially now with the movie industry down and wrestling being a mainstream punchline again. Austin has enough charisma to pull off a convincing role in both comedy and serious characters, so maybe he can do a good job.

Austin's flick will probably be the more profitable of the WWE films so far. I imagine current and past fans alike will go see this do to it being Austin's first major movie and being fans of his back from the 90's etc.
