WHY THE LADDER MATCH WAS PULLED FROM NO WAY OUT by Mike Johnson @ 2:32:00 PM on 2/12/2007
For those of you who are wondering why WWE yanked the four way ladder match from the No Way Out PPV, the reason is that Vince McMahon decided over the weekend that (as of right now, since they keep going back and forth on this) The Hardy Boyz and MNM will no longer be teaming. Matt Hardy, Joey Mercury, Jeff Hardy, and Johnny Nitro will be going back to singles roles on their respective brands.
With that decision made, the feeling was that having the Four Way ladder match at the No Way Out PPV was meaningless, so they've switched gears to allow Deuce and Domino to challenge WWE Tag Team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick instead. Stephanie McMahon made the call to change the match.
WWE has gone back and forth on whether to keep the teams together or not, so this is just the latest in that trend.

Hm ... well, I can't say that I disagree with this. I've seen pretty much everything out of these two teams that I need to (I pretty much ignored their opening match at the Rumble, which looked almost identical to all of their earlier encounters).
Still, the MNM/Hardyz feud was a fairly good one that never really had a conclusive finish, so I'm disappointed in that regard.

I would have figured that it would have been awesome. That's why they cancelled it.
Eh, I'm not heartbroken. I was questioning why they'd do a second one. I just wish WWE would get their house in order when they announce stuff like this. Makes them look like clown shoes.

Eh, I won't really miss it. It probably would have been a good match, but there's no need for a replay of two months ago.

I think the main issue that should be focused on is that this was a match that would potentially cause people to buy a PPV that, really, means nothing and is just there because they need something to fill in the space between the Rumble and Wrestlemania.
Couldn't they have waited two weeks and THEN split the teams up? Then you could end the feud properly and still get a couple more people to buy a nothing PPV for that match alone.

I wouldn't be surprised if they changed their minds AGAIN and just book this match (or something similar to it) at WM.

But Hardyz/MNM was progressed this week on Smackdown! Are they really going to end the feud with absolutely zero kind of end. And pulling the plug on this match is such a bad move, it'll lose quite a few buys I'd imagine. I know I won't be watching now, unless something is done to make up for this/the match is re-added.

My guess is Matt Hardy & Joey Mercury will have a street fight or something at the PPV.

And somewhere, Joey Mercury is smiling...with whatever teeth he has left from the first ladder match.

I didn't know your nose had teeth. ;D But anyway, i'm again a bit pissed that WWE once again can't decide on whether or not they want the Hardys and MNM teaming anymore, and more pissed that Stephanie is back in her creative position again, ruining wrestling for everybody. And yes, i too questioned the reasoning behind a rematch, but it was still dumb to advertise it and then change their minds all of a sudden.

The only thing i do like about this, is it still makes Teddy Long look like an idiot. D&D went over his head, and management AGREED they deserved a title shot more than the 3 teams Teddy chose.

It sucks that it's gone, but hooray for Deuce and Domino.

My guess is Matt Hardy & Joey Mercury will have a street fight or something at the PPV. And yet because creative is so bad with the continuity, Nitro and Jeff will show up to interfere.

I was really hoping the reason was "So that they could have a strong ladder match at Wrestlemania" instead but whatever.

When I read the story this morning on here, I actually thought it was kind of a work that they advertised the match, especially when it just came so all of a sudden about two weeks ago and so close to WrestleMania
I was thinking it was just probably a way get some heat on Deuce and Domino for killing a match people wanted to see
