I dont see how you could compare Flair to Duggan or Slaughter. Flair may be older but he still puts on some pretty good matches. Hes a mere shell of what he used to be. But he was so great then. Cut that talent in half and hes still pretty damn good.

I wouldn't buy it, but because it's Flair I'd still mark.

I like Flair but I would'nt buy another title run for him. He is more or less a jobber now and would'nt make a very believable champion. Besides he has already had his run and does'nt need a title at this stage of his career.

I would buy another title reign by the natcha boy, but only in this situation.
Flair goes in at Number one at the Rumble, and goes on to win to wrestle the WWE champion at 'Mania. He goes onto win at Wrestlemania, and vacates the title and retires that evening.

Not a world title reign, but I wouldn't be against pairing him with Piper again when the Rowdy one crushes cancer, they can have the belts and be a nice veteran tag team, mega over with the fans.
I don't like Flair as a singles wrestler anymore, other than the most simple moves (punch, chop etc) he has trouble working in the ring.

Under the right circumstances.
1)Wins MITB. Believable since 5 others would be in there beating each other up. 2)Challenges after the title match that night. Believable since it's a stipulation, and I can't see the guy going another year. 3)Cena or HBK works a knee injury during their match that allows the dirtiest player in the game to get a cheap figure four FTW.

First of all, the transitional champion stuff is just for storyline. 99% of champion's, especially heel, are transitional ones. the only guy that is champion that's not for transitional purposes is the "golden goose" of the company, the guy that's drawing top dollar, and it's usually only one spot. The transitional chmpion thing is used as an insult to point the fans to that this guy or that guy isn't as good or what not. If John Cena lost the title to someone, it would be a transitional run, unless Cena is not getting the title back. Just like HHH before him, Austin and Rock before that, HBK and Bret Hart, and Hogan before that, Cena is the "golden goose" of the company right now.
I would buy a Flair title reign. I think that up untill 2004 or 5, that Flair was still able to perform at a really high physical level, but now, I am afraid that he could get hurt easily. He hasn't really taken the abuse with his body recently that he's taken in the past. It could be that he's more timid, or he's just slowing down. I'd say that in 2004, that he shouldn't retire if he didn't want to, that everyone was just exagerating his "slowing down" a little too much. but now, I think he has slown down even more, physically anyway.
That dosen't mean that I don't think he shouldn't be a champ again. There's more to this business than how fast or strong you are physically, flair can be over as a champion in the way that everyone views him, an old man that can take a beating from the younger guys, but manages to use his experience and brains to capitalize on just one mistake, and it's all over. He won't be believable as someone who won because he was physically better.
I still think that Flair's charactor is booked written poorly. H has 30 years experience, who is going to buy that he got distracted by a referee? Who is going to buy that he lost to a younger guy because he waisted too much time? He should loose, definitely, but because he got physically overwhelmed, not because he was outsmarted.
Remember the finish to the Hell in a Cell match between HHH and Batista? Where HHH had Batista outsmarted and was a step ahead, but Batista still won anyway simply by beating him to the punch? that's the way Flair should be loosing. Batista had no Idea about HHH's plan of attack at the end, he just was physically there, while HHH wasn't.
