It still matters, but the specialness is gone via bad booking and other shortcomings. I don't know that it can be like it was back in the day, but the titles could mean much more now than they do.

IMO, the world belt hasn't meant anything in a while now.

I think the Raw belt is the 'real' Championship despite SmackDown having a great show, IMO. Even when the WHC was on Raw it was the stronger title.

Sure it does. They just have bad title holders. If E was more competitive instead of having crappy feuds, when you know who's going to win all the time, then it would mean more than it does now.

Jimmy Rave in that picture looks like a young William Forsythe.

The WWE Title is still the premiere title in my eyes, despite that spinny-thingy which can't last forever (can it?) if I was a wrestler it would be my ultimate goal

Being a champion now a days really isnt too special. Theres too many belts. Go back to just having the tag, ic and world titles n it will mean something again. It seems like almost everyone has held at least one belt now.

Sadly, no. I think around when Triple H kept losing and retaining it started losing it's value and then the title split and the out of nowhere reign of JBL really did it in. John Cena is giving it a little more value I think with his reign as I think he's finally proving himself.

Yeah there are too many titles we should go back to the late 90s when there was a WWF champ, a WCW Champ and an ECW champ. Oh wait nevermind.

I am by no means a hhh hater but the fact that he got 10 title reigns in a span of 5 years killed the title imo.

back when there was one wwe, and one champion, it seemed to mean something. now that its splintered into 3, does it really matter? I can't believe I'm actually about to say type this, but if all your posts were like this, I wouldn't give you s*** in your "haha look at me I'm funny" threads. That having been said, you bring up a good point. I definitely dug the days of the Undisputed champion defending on both brands. I know people are going to say it devalues the brand the chmapion "left" upon winning the title, but I think, if anything, it increases the value of the IC and U.S. champions. They would then be the number-one main champion on their respective show. When I started watching wrestling back in the '80s, the Intercontinental championship would headline the B-level house shows. (and the Tag Team titles would either co-headline the B-shows, or headline the C-shows.) I wouldn't mind seeing a meaningful feud over the IC or U.S. strap, and even have it headline a brand-exclusive PPV when the Undisputed champion is in a feud with his number-one contender on the other brand. As for ECW ... don't get me started.

I still see the wwe title on raw as 'the title'. I think the titles mean alot. Lance Storm doesnt care. But I do. If I were champion i would mark out. Who cares. Something you saw on tv for so long, it gotta get to you. But i do think the titles mean something. Unless your ecw champion.

Lashley is the most hard-hitting & soft spoken of the three.

When WCW, WWE and ECW were all alive at the same time did one World Title look bad because there were two other World Titles in the two other feds?
Didn't make a difference to me now, didn't make a difference to me then, they're under the WWE banner but they're still different brands, I think the popular opinion that it doesn't matter only stems from the fact that the champs don't seem to be too popular. When those titles change it's gonna be a bigger deal to everyone than anyone gives credit for, if the titles didn't matter than why should everyone care whether or not Undertaker and Michaels win their respective titles at Wrestlemania? Of course they matter as far as I'm concerned.
