It could very well just be a coincidence, but Smackdown has maanged to be considered the A show by much of the IWC around the time Mysterio left. So is the show more enjoyable without him?

When he's not dedicating everything under the sun to Eddie, he can easily have the best match of the night.
Yes, he had the worst booked world title run in the history if wrestling, but he still worked his ass off, and in the end you couldn't blame him.
So no, I have to say SmackDown's improvement is really due to a change in writers.

It's gonna be hard to get Rey out of that whole "Eddie" thing cause everyone in the arena keeps chanting for Eddie. He should probably stay out of action for a year just to get the Eddie chants out of there.

I want to see him wear the kind of attire he wore at One Night STand.
He looked cool as heck in old school gear

It just depends on who he's having a match/feud with. I've found most of his 'E run quite dull. Never again need to see him against someone the likes of Khali, but but put him in there with like Chavo and good stuff is bound to take place.

I don't think the lack of Misterio is what's making SmackDown so good.

Smackdown is better now than it was when Rey was champ, but isn't "better" really than back in the day when Rey was feuding with Angle or Matt Hardy.

It is better right now but thats not because Rey's not there & I'm sure it will be even better once he returns.

The show has been better since he left, but he isn't the reason. It's just been a coincidence.

It's not "better" because Rey is gone.
It's better because, with Rey sitting at home, the Eddiexploitation factor has dropped by 80%, and the Cruiserweight Anomaly* has been eliminated.
Rey can be entertaining to watch, but only if he's facing small and quick guys. Otherwise it's contrived and even painful at times.
* Cruiserweight Anomaly: while every single WWE Superstar weighing less than 220lbs just CAN'T stand a chance against big guys (270+ lbs), Rey Mysterio, albeit being the smallest athlete in WWE, CAN hold his own even against the likes of JBL and Big Show...

It's better because of Deuce And Domino, hands down.

It's looking like the question is becoming: Is Smackdown better because of Hayes and Rhodes?

I say no. It's just that they have to book him a lot better than they did last time. Rey Mysterio is one of the most entertaining luchadore wrestlers of all time and he is so innovative but you could see during his title reign he was hurt and couldn't do alot. However when he comes back and will be healthy I feel he will add to Smackdown and will make the show even better.

It's looking like the question is becoming: Is Smackdown better because of Hayes and Rhodes? I have to say yes to that one. PWI and Meltzer both reported that Hayes was moved to Smackdown, and literally within two weeks the show took off.

It's better without Mysterio, but not because of him not being there. When Reyrey returns, it'll be even better, assuming they kill the Eddiesploitation and just book him without relying on Eddie.
I also hope the SD crowd doesn't start chanting Eddie upon Rey's return.

I dont think so. I think it has more to do with Hayes booking the show more than anything. When he comes back, If they book him right , He could really help the show.

Only if he is not the world champion. I do not mind him being in the upper mid-card, but he should never had been world champion.

Only if he is not the world champion. I do not mind him being in the upper mid-card, but he should never had been world champion. Why? I don't get that! He was over so he should have been champion. If he is as over as he was he should be champion again. Is it because he's smaller? Yes, he was screwed over with the Eddie stuff but he would have eventually been world champion and most likely would have been champion later in the year. It shouldn't matter that he is small. I bet people said the same things anout Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero became world champions as well.
