I watched the show last week after a hiatus because I figured Vince could add something fresh to the show. He did.
So I gave the program a shot again this week...and thought it was awful. It's like watching WWF circa 1995 it's so poorly booked and uninteresting.
Gene Snitsky is a potential feud for their world champion heading into WrestleMania?!!? The same Gene Snitsky who was lucky if he appeared on Heat is feuding with their world champion now.
The brand is a joke. An absolute joke.
What do people see in it?

Hey, I like Chris Masters but that doesn't mean I think he should be feuding with a world champion.
Snitsky is a lower mid-carder at best.

Its a place to see a combo of the ECW Originals, and a place were guys who were normally not given anytime on other shows (i.e. Snitsky, Striker, Burke, Thorn, etc.) can get the pushes they deserve.
Also theres CM Punk which is good.
I can even tolerate Bobby Lashley. Hes better then Cena and Batista IMO, not charisma wise of course, but in ring wise, he is better and more belivable.

But there is greater talent on Raw and Smackdown. Outside of Punk and possibly Corvon, there isn't a single wrestler on that show who could put on a 4-star match on their own. They need someone to carry them, and in the case of say Lashley or Test or the Sandman, they need someone to really carry them. |

I'm sure a lot of people watch just to see CM Punk. Personally I think ECW has the right ingredients (Punk, RVD, Burke, Cor Von) to have a unique brand that is some sort of alternative to Raw and Smackdown. I just think they are pushing the wrong people.

But there is greater talent on Raw and Smackdown. I don't personally think so. Yeah, every brand has their bright spots (Nitro, Londrick, Punk), and their dark (Cena, Batista, Test), but overall, I say ECW averages out to have the best talent. |

Like I said in the ECW post I think we're only supposed to like Sntisky in an ironic way, like an Ed Wood movie. They're both horrible but can occasionally provide the lols, usually unintentionally.

Ariel is irritating. I remember when she came out with Burchill for one match on Velocity and their was criticism that she just stood around. Now she just over does EVERYTHING. And hearing "OMGZ THORN!!!111one" during an entire match may be worse than Melina's scream.
